So far, the hose itself seems fine. I've only tried it in a few instances, but in each of those instances, I had to try to seal the jars about a dozen times to get one to hold. The most recent attempt I tried many different lids and none would hold. I don't know if the jar sealers themselves are faulty, but after all the money I've dumped into these, I'm very frustrated.

I have not problem with the processing of this order. It was an efficient and quick.

I do have a problem with the accessories I have purchased from Foodsaver.  The directions included are in print so small they are virtually unreadable. I have not found them to be well written or adequate in explaining how to use the particular product. 

Some of the hook ups with the accessories don't click in place so it is not always possible to determine if they are working properly which requires multiple tries. The directions don't address this situation at all. 

I assume that the sale of supplies and accessories is a big part of the Foodsaver business. If the unit is not used, there is no follow up purchase of supplies and additional equipment.  A small investment in adequate directions would be a good business.

I love my Food Saver vacuum but gave only 3 stars as it is very new and port hose on machine has already broken and I am not rough with it.  Ordered 2 for backup so we'll see. I use almost daily and dont want to be without as this seems to be a common breakage point.

Port hose

These are pooly made or pooly design, hard to tell which. They break off to easily at the nib, even when you're trying to be gentle. Also, the new replacements have shorter tubine, making it a bit more challenge to use.

These break too often

Doesn't fit my model. Even after speaking "live" with a rep, the product arrived with one end that doesn't fit the "accessory". This was my 2nd attempt to replace the hand held sealer. FoodSaver has the worst website for finding the correct replacement parts for model#  VS 2280

Read through the many reviews and you'll find that anyone that's used this product long enough knows that they have bought multiple of these and they all eventually break. 

I've learned to do my best to ONLY use the accessory tube (i really love using this to seal mason jars, and pretty much never use the bags), but every once in a while i need to remove the hose to clean the device—and then the green nipple breaks. Often I can get a few uses out of it before it breaks.....but this time (with this brand new one, since my last one broke {probably my 5th so far}) it broke the first time i removed it/put it back on. I bought 3 tubes this last round b/c I already know what I'm in for; still disappointing nonetheless.

Horrible design. There no way around it, and not matter how many reviews say the same thing, food saver has done nothing to fix the inherent issue with the design.

Horrible Design

I have gone thru 7 of these in 18 months. I bought the gamesaver and when the hoses I have on hand BREAK the Gamesaver goes in the trash. I have one Foodsaver I bought 10 years ago and still have the original hose. The old hoses are much better. This new generation hose is junk.

NOT HAPPY

I love my Foodsaver and all the accessories but I hate this hose. It is the poorest quality and worst design of any of the Foodsaver products. Breaks easy, does not last, and comes apart in the machine making it very difficult to remove the broken bits.

Poor Quality

Since your accessory port hose is so flimsy and breakable [That's why I ordered three of them for back-up] you would help your customer base by including in your user guide a statement warning users to KEEP THE HOSE CONNECTED TO THE VACUUM MACHINE ALL THE TIME.  A hose just might last longer if it is not disconnected EVER. It is the constant connecting and disconnecting that breaks the tip.  Many have negatively commented on this hose. Hope this works for me. Otherwise, I will go to your competition. For sure!

User guide addition.

Sorry, I can't write anything, good about this accessory.  I have been through about 6 of them.  The little green insert is made of cheap, thin plastic.  The insert goes into the vacuum sealer & I don't care how you attempt to carefully remove, it will break.  If it doesn't get weak & snap off the plastic wears to the point that it won't snap into the machine.   And you have no choice but to order more unless you ditch your vacuum sealer!

Poor Engineering!

Based on negative online reviews regarding the tip of the green breaking, I have been using a spoon and my fingers to pry straight up on the green end to remove it. No twisting to insert or remove. I have used this method over a dozen times and there is no sign of stress on the tip.
