[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I quickly set up this unit. Receiving unit was two hundred feet away in my barn. I had run the coaxial cable underground in a PVC pipe alongside a water line from my house to the barn. At the receiving end I installed a inexpensive WIFI unit.  After hooking up this just received Ethernet to COAX Adapter the WIFI came on-line in about 15 seconds.  Good signal. Very happy. I get my internet from Comcast/Xfinity and this unit comes off the back of my house WIFI with a ethernet cable.  As an aside I bought a COAX and Ethernet cable tester six months ago to test my COAX cable and found out a splitter I had used was defective. Make sure your cables and splitters work before blaming this adapter.

got this pack. arrived a day early. EZ connection. Works on the existing coax cables in your home. you need 1 at the router, and 1 at each end that you want the connection to go to. It puts internet signal onto the existing coax (TV cable) in your house. As a bonus, my DirecTV receivers all are getting internet signal now with no adapter needed at their end, just from me putting the 1 adapter on my router. connect ethernet from router to adapter, plug in adapter power. split coax signal to DirecTV, 1 to receiver, 1 to adapter. then the same at the other end of coax where you want the internet signal to go to. My house wiring was confusing and from 1985. It stll worked with minimal effort. I am buying 2 more to make my whole house ethernet on coax cables so my kids dont complain about wifi gaming. I get 140Mbps at my router, got 95Mbps through 35yr old coak wiring, and it is more stable than wifi. It's also the cheapest fix. Works with or without satellite connected to coax. 

questions I had, that I found answers by installing:

does TV signal get inteference? No.

how long does it take to recognize the internet signal in the adapter? Immediately. The flashing yellow "internet" LED changed to solid green right away, making a trial-and-error connection possible for me. I have a bunch of unconnected cables that I had to try in order to find the one that went to the room I wanted internet in.

Good ethernet to coax set up for residential use

I bought this set for establishing a wired network from my Verizon router.  It works, but when i run speed tests wired vs. wireless, the wireless speed is higher than the wired!!!  Of course it will be great fir areas that you have very weak wireless signal. Just dissapointed that it couldn't reach wireless speeds ....

Good for dead spots; not as fast as wireless....
