Worked great right out of the box.  My mother loves it.

I ordered this clock because it showed that it had a white background with black print as one of its display options. It does not have this option. There are only 3 options. The options are a black background with white print, a white background with different colors highlighting the day, date and time, (bright blue and red as two of them) and a blue background with the clock showing in traditional format. There is no option that matches the picture of the clock that I  ordered.  See the clock in my photo attached. This is misleading advertising.  The clock/calendar itself seems to work fine and we are using the black background with white print background. If the option of a white background with black print as shown in the picture is important to you, don't order this.
