Install took 20 minutes because I read the instructions. I have never installed one, but do have a mechanical ability. I chose this one due to it being on the rail NOT inside the rail or (low pro) design, due to I wanted max ability for no water in my bed. I drove all day in the rain and all was dry inside. It does have a few round aluminum pipes going across the bed to help keep sag out of it, which works well. It locks in nice and tight and is pre-set tension. Nice leather top and rolled up nice behind my window so my son could mow and use the bed for grass clippings, which is again why I purchased this cover-- Usability! For the price, there is no other product in this price range $300 that has this quality. If you want more spend more. I love it.
