Milwaukee definitely knocked this one out of the park! I'm a Carpenter working in a Commercial work company, but my background is residential custom work. I regularly get sent to jobs to wrap up the small details like wood or aluminum trim. This saw is perfect! I also handle things like temporary stairs and landings…this saw also handles 2x4's and 2x6's like a champ! The portability is unmatched…it's light as a feather and has been riding in the back seat of my truck..all i have to do is keep a small variety of blades with me to match the task and this saw can do it! Great miters,square cuts in a small yet very capable package.

This is the best chop saw I have ever owned! It cuts so smooth and I like how you can lock right side bevel so it lands on 0 degrees or keep it unlocked to go from left side 45 to the to the right in one motion. I really like how light and compact it is, with limited room in the bed of my truck that is a big deal to me.

Lightest Chop Saw Ever

Miter scale was not squared. Had to removed some screws to adjust. But overall loved the product. Dust collector bag works great.

M18 Dual Bevel Sliding  Miter Saw

It's a great little saw I working in Remolding so I'm not always doing trim, but it's light and fantastic. The duel bevel is what sold me on it as other brands don't offer that option. The part I'd say I dislike is the slop in the slide, it can wiggle left or right when making cuts so that's the only annoying thing.

80% of trim and other task done  half the size

Wasn't completely square out of the box but it's easily adjusted and once you get it dialed it's mint. Also very light and maneuverable.

Great saw!

Finally a smaller portable saw that works. There has always been a need for a small light weight portable saw for a grab and go job. Most smaller saws aren't accurate and not the best Quality. These fit the need for that area and give good results.

The Saw You Need

Finally broke down and bought this little guy. Happy I did. It's small, lightweight, and powerful. So much easier than loading up my 12". One thing Milwaukee should have provisions for is for it to accommodate a packout base. It also does not have a depth gauge, but that doesn't subtract from its 5 stars.

It's a great saw. Two things bother me. The buttons to adjust the fence are sticky, difficult to fully press, and aren't connected so you have to push them both independently. Kinda sloppy. The other thing is the rubber cover on the fore grip has an odd amount of play in it. Not a problem, but it can feel...strange.

Almost perfect.

Was anxious to get this saw home after seeing all the glowing reviews. I opened the box and installed the blade and inserted a battery and on the first push of the power switch, the saw screamed like a banshee. Something was wrong! I removed the blade and started the machine without the blade and it sounded great. I reinstalled the blade and more screaming. Obviously the bearing was defective out of the box. Drove the 25 miles back to my dealer and he concurred. Opened up 3 more saws and they all had this weird intermittent noise once started. I needed the saw so I took the one that make the least weird noise. Chalk this up to more quality issues from Milwaukee that I have been encountering. I've lost count as to how many tools I've returned out of the box or had to repair months into ownership. I am considering a move to Makita as my friends are making fun of me now. Instead of calling me team Milwaukee red, they call me team Milwaukee dead!

Quality! What's up???

I have to take the battery out and back in to get the saw to work.....mainly disappointed that I have to send my saw in to get them to inspect it..... I need a saw to work.... and my old ryobi saw(that works fine) will be my temp for that time..  wish Milwaukee would take care of us better
