Bolt Assembly

Some screws may arrive in a compromised state, hindering assembly and functionality.

Simple navigation with minimal effort required.

Assembly process is straightforward and quick.

Made with sturdy construction that appears robust.

The griddle performs well and is made of quality materials. The cooking service is large and well designed. The grease cup is well thought out, I do wish there was a way to secure it to the frame as it tends to come off when you remove the fabric cover. The standard 28” Griddle with Hood Cover fits well. This model does not come with wind guards, and I think you will need them as the shelves tend to get hot. Unfortunately none are specifically designed for the 28XL but the normal 28” after market ones are adequate. After about 3 uses I noticed a little paint chipping off the hood but everything else looks like it will last a lifetime.

Great Quality

blackstoneproducts.com

Such a versatile cooking element! Cleanup is easy and cooking is even easier! I used avocado oil to season my Blackstone and it worked perfectly. I do recommend seasoning about 7-8 times to ensure your food doesn't stick.

Best purchase ever!!!

Arrived on time and in great condition. Had an issue with the lid handle which Blackstone took care of immediately and replaced the handle. Easy set up!

Excellent product and service!

This grill is awesome. I love the way it distributes the heat. I've made steaks, eggs, pizza, bacon and more. There is nothing this grill can't cook. I'm looking into wind guards since the three burner doesn't have them already but overall, I love this grill. Easy to put together and heavy duty. Cooking area offers a ton of space. You will not regret purchasing this !

Absolutely love cooking on this grill.

My husband loves it, said it's the best gift I've ever got him.... Win for me is, he's done all the cooking since we got it! Score!!

Win, win

This 28" XL w/hood it's the perfect size for a family of 4 to 5. .. Also it's super easy to load in a truck to take to the park!

The perfect size!

Got this for Christmas in 2025 from my generous in-laws and love it. We use it almost once a day.

Great All Around

Love everything about this griddle. Cover is also thick and provides great protection.

Great griddle.

I asked for a Blackstone 28XL for Father's Day. My wife told me that I wouldn't use it. She let me order it and I purchased a 2" thick rib eye steak and put a mallard sear on the top and bottom. While it was cooking, I put a 6.5" cast-iron pan on the right (not fired up but warm). I sautéed garlic chunks in butter and on the middle burner, cooked mushrooms and onions. I took the rib eye off at 130° and let it finish off the griddle. I had to replicate the steaks for Father's Day. She felt bad about me cooking for myself for Father's Day but not too bad after she tasted the end results. I'm doing smash burgers for Fourth of July and working on tacos and Chinese recipes for future meals. Three burners work well for me. I keep the left on high, the middle on medium, and the right burner off. The control is great. The results are great. I have a Fire Rescue sponge on a handle that makes cleanup a breeze. You need to invest in accessories like spatulas but this griddle makes cooking fun.

Cooking made fun.

Purchased the omnivore 28xl and my research said that the BYU output on this unit is supposed to be 48,000. We put it together and the sticker with the model number indicates it is 28,500 which is almost HALF of what was advertised. I feel like I was scammed. I'm including a picture with the sticker that says each burner is only 9,500 BTU and there are 3 burners. Why the deception Blackstone?!

False or contradictory BTU output

28” Blackstone XL Griddle with Hood shown front-facing with the lid open, revealing a large cooking surface divided into three independently controlled heat zones cooking assorted foods like vegetables, meats, and fruits. The griddle has a black finish with three orange control knobs, dual side shelves with hooks, a propane tank mounted on the left side, and a lower shelf for storage. The Blackstone logo is visible on the front panel. This outdoor griddle is ideal for cooking multiple dishes simultaneously and includes a magnetic toolbar and paper towel holder for easy access and cleanup.
