Great results with this raised panel bit. Key to success is making sure you reduce the RPM on your router, ideally bellow 12,000 RPM. Very intimidating at first as it is a MASSIVE bit! Also key is to make multiple passes with a push block, and avoid the urge to hog out large amounts of material as this bit will rip the wood right out of your hands if you're not careful.
 Will be adding other Quadra Cut profiles to my arsenal in the future.

WOW!!

Freud

I've used Freud bits for a lot of years. I have a couple of other Freud panel bits. In fact, this bit was my first 25 years ago. Back then, they didn't make bits with the backcutters and the Quadra-Cut. These two items are game changers. The backcutters eliminate a step that you would have to do separately. The biggest improvement is the Quadra-Cut functionality. The additional cutters along with surgically sharp regular cutters make these a breeze to sand. It takes almost no effort to get them ready for pain. I love this bit!

This is an excellent panel bit

This 3 1/2" diameter raised panel bit with back cutters is tremendous. I build furniture and cabinets frequently and have been looking for a router bit that does what this one says it will do. I use a variety of woods, purple heart, walnut, pine, alder, and hickory. I tried this bit on each at 8000 rpm. The bit performed flawlessly in each wood. The hickory was the most difficult to take a full cut without sounding like it was chipping out. However, when I finished the sliding the piece over the router table and looked at the finished product, no chipping had occurred. I am very well pleased with the results.

Smooth as butter

I used it to make 2 doors. It worked perfectly after I made the cut in two passes

Raised panels

Made 10 raised panel doors for a hutch out of red oak.  Very clean cut minimum tear out. Worked great !!!

Works great

Received this bit over the weekend and I'm very pleased with the results. This bit cut near perfect raised panels with very little hand sanding across the face grain but the back cutter also left a clean cut. I ran 7 glued up walnut panels and have no tear out. Well balanced and no vibration.

would like to have setup block for standard 3/4 door materials, to aid in flush front setting.
