I'm a merchant mariner and have successfully used 5200 for boats (above and below water line) and a hot tub window below water line.  This use was to install an aluminum brace to a plastic body panel that tested too slick and flexible for fiberglass.  5200 is not brittle like resin/epoxy and adheres well to just about anything.  Must handle carefully...can be messy, sticky and permanent.  Need acetone or MEK for clean up and 48 hours to cure to tack free and 7 days to fully cure.   If you do not have this cure time you need another product.  Consider 5200 for permanent install only... strong adhesion and difficult removal.

Tried this after reading some great reviews in various dingy forums re: transom repairs, specifically reattaching the PVC flooring where it meets the transom. PVC giue won't stick to wood, but hypalon glue will, yadda yadda yadda. Tried it, didn't work like previous PVC repairs. 
Enter the 5200. Not only did it stick the PVC fabric to the wood but it held like iron, and I have enjoyed many many hours in a boat that was destined for the nearest dumpster box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 5200 is an excellent product and I have used it for more than two decades on my Marine projects. I should have read the product description a little closer to realize it was only a 1 oz package, although it does make sense because that has long been one of the challenges as fantastic as 5200 works and when you connect two things and allow it to cure for at least 24 hours it does not come apart even in a harsh marine environment. but having said this it is often frustrating when you've only used a partial bit of a tube the next time you go to use it it is dried up and then usable. so even though this seems a bit expensive for one ounce tube if you can get by with just that amount for a job which is quite common then it really is not so expensive because the other you end up throwing out anyway. and while I used to be able to buy a 20 oz tube for the same price as one else, the product is still fantastic and I have never found anything to substitute it in spite of all of these wonderful new cements that are available. the only reason that I gave four stars instead of five was not because of the product the product is fantastic I would give it six or more stars, it was just unfortunate that it took over a week to actually receive the product. and I realized that when I ordered it I guess I am spoiled by getting overnight service so often but I would have taken a trip over to the local store and purchase something to take care of my project right away. but that is on me. 5200 is a fantastic product and I have my highest regards and reference for it. what do not be in a hurry, when you use 5200 you really do need to give it 24 hours I believe I certainly do for it to cure longer if possible and then do not plan on removing it! good luck Fair Winds and following Seas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't realize when I ordered this it's only 1 ounce, a tiny bit for a high price.  Local stores sell a 3 ounce tube for a couple dollars more.  I wish I saw that it was such a small tube before ordering.
