Actually used this to attach Velcro to the underside of a throw rug. I can't speak to headliners, but the adhesion on carpet 'anti-skid' pads is great.

A little goes a long way and we are completely happy with the purchase! I bought two cans because I wasn't sure how much it would actually take, we barely used any so I returned the unused one.

Works fairly well, just make sure to follow the instructions and get a little more than you think you may need. It is messy so do the spraying outside. But this is to be expected.
Spray both the item you want the fabric to stick to and the rear parts of the fabric. Let it sit for 30  seconds for the best bond. Make sure you get where you need it to go it will stick asap.

Bought my daughter an 08 Honda Accord this year. A month later, the headliner material started separating from the foam padding. Did the required research and passed by this product. Many people swore by it. Got a few warnings about the spray nozzle, and one about the adhesive bleeding through the foam pad and material. Bought it because of the high ratings. One Saturday morning I removed the headliner board from my daughter's car and then removed the old material. Took my drill and nylon brush wheel and cleaned off the old headliner foam. The adhesive sprayed on nice and smooth. I laid the new headliner material over the sprayed surface as quickly as possible because it was about to start raining. Smoothed out the surface as well as I could while wearing rubber gloves. I moved the headliner back in the house and propped it up on its side and let it dry overnight. The adhesive did bleed through the material in several places. I suspect it happened because I had it standing up rather than laying down because I didn't have the extra room in my townhouse. To my surprise the adhesive that bled through the foam and liner material dried without leaving any discoloring on the very light “Clear Grey” headliner material. After 24 hours of curing in house, I reinstalled the newly covered headliner board back in my daughter's car. The adhesive remained effective even on the hottest day of this summer. Will be using this product again when I redo the liner in my 98 Expedition.

Two things:

1. Move with purpose when using this to install new headliner material. It sticks and cures really fast.

2. Laying your headliner board on a flat surface, not standing up like I had to do, may mitigate the adhesive bleeding through the material.

Works well, hard to apply though at weird angles. Leave a smell so make sure you do it when you can drive with your windows open for a while.

Bought to attach felt to a wooden crate. Did a fine job, although be aware it's a little tricky. You definitely want to make sure you've lined up what you're adhering just perfectly because once it's stuck, it's stuck. Comes out of the can in a kind of spider webby texture, so don't be alarmed.

used this to replace headliner in our duaghters car. prep is key. make sure you remove all the old debris, we used an oscillating sander with light grit. make sure you are holding the fabric away from surface until ready to seal, once you put it down its down. do small patches at a time especially around curves. most liners come with a roller to use for ensuring a secure bond. held up for a year now with no sagging

fast drying, cost effective

This does exactly as the name implies.  It fixes head liners in vehicles and other fabric problems.  It's quick drying and long lasting.  The one complaint I have is shelf-life.  It doesn't take much to get the job done and this is a big can.   As with any adhesive in an aerosol can it's going to tend to clog up the spray nozzle and be worthless after you use it.  This time I cleaned the nozzle with alcohol and took a sewing needle to clear any left over from the crevices in the spray head.  I think they did improve the nozzle some.  So only time will tell if I can use this again after the first use.

3M headliner adhesive

While this product is a good idea, it doesn't have enough sticking strength to overcome the tension that is on a headliner . . . it can't hold anything in place long enough for the user to pull and smooth out.  Glad I experimented, but it was a bust.

DO NOT BUY. The smell after your car is sitting in the sun and you first enter is a potent smell of  chemicals. I'm literally getting nauseated every time I enter my car. And it's not just me others have said the same thing. It doesn't seem to go away, and I'm not sure how to resolve this issue
