[Employee of 3m-country-catalog] This earmuffs works very well. It blocks noise and is not too tight but the headband breaks. I am on my third one now. I think they need to redesign the headband. It is too fragile.

bought these earmuffs 3 months ago and they work excellent for blocking out sound  but really disappointed that the headband has snapped in the center just putting them on.

Purchased first pair of earmuffs and used them intermentently for almost a year. Headband broke as I was trying to put them on. Thought that was a fluke so I replaced them with the same product. The earmuffs are very comfortable and I wanted to avoid the hassle of using the foam squeeze earplugs. Unfortunately, the headband of second pair also broke. I would not spend the money on this product.

Second pair of earmuffs failed.

I'm a residential customer that bought these ear muffs just over two years ago, and probably used them less than 10 times, and the headband is already snapped. Product works well for blocking out noise, but extremely disappointing that the headband would snap this quickly.

After reading the other reviews I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one having this problem - the headband breaks directly in the center. Gone through two pairs now, with minimal to average use. Sound protection is just fine but I'm disappointed that I'll now have to search high and low for another brand.

Weak Frame

Used these for over three years, took them off last night and the headband broken right in the center. Huge disappointment

Broken headband

My folks bought two of these, using them for difficult tasks such as mowing the lawn and vacuuming the car. After a few months each of the two snapped in the same place (the headband).

Snapped in two pieces

I bought these for blocking environmental noise while studying in library, reading on train, etc. They work very well in that regard, are very comfortable, and the foldup feature makes them very compact for keeping in a backpack. However, the plastic headband cracked after about 6 months of normal use on the first pair (i.e. there are now two separate pieces and unusable). The second pair has developed a crack on the inside of the headband after about 5 months, and is going to break any day now. Again, these are not subjected to any abnormal use and are kept in the same backpack as a laptop - so no extreme temperatures, etc. 3M needs to improve this otherwise good product by reinforcing the headband, or using a stronger, more resilient material.

Fit and comfort are great. I bought (2) pairs of the Blue Stow-A-Way muffs with plastic headbands, but both have easily broken while spreading enough to put on a 5 year old's head. They fit great on small children, but don't have enough strength in the center of the headband. Wouldn't recommend them for any long term usage. I got less than a year.

Looking for the quality I thought was included with 3-M products. Less than one year occasional use--headband snapped. Our adult ed woodshop uses lower cost products from a tool importer which last longer with harder daily use. Low-bid offshore quality not worthy of 3-M label.

blocks noise--poor construction

These ear-muffs are very comfortable and help reduce the noise from different power tools that I use. The screech from my circular saw doesn't pierce my ears anymore when I wear these. I like that they are adjustable and fold up to take up less space.
