Wow I love these - I was skeptical but using it now for a few weeks and I'm very impressed. It's the only thing I use to wash dishes and it's holding up great! At least the same as conventional scour pads - I'm hoping it will go longer. It's worth paying a tiny bit more money knowing this is ethical - even the packaging is ethical - so I'm very happy!! New regular customer here!!!!

Full Circle Brands

We are trying to greatly reduce our use of plastic materials and chemicals in our household, replacing them with green, recyclable products where possible. This product cleans dishes, pots & pans, and kitchen surfaces really well without scratching. A single pad lasted us nearly 3 weeks, in our animal rescue household that uses several cases of canned food weekly.  Does a good job of cleaning these cans for recycling. Haven't tried composting the used pads yet, but I'll bet that they will break down into compost eventually. Only negative we encountered, is that the pads do collect food particles and need to be swished in sudsy water, rinsed, and hung over side of sink to dry between uses. Keeps them from getting nasty, extending product life significantly.

Green replacement for the sponges & plastic scrubbies we used in past!

This product is great!I use one for 3 weeks already and it is still in very good shape. Cleans the dishes well. Even wine glasses and it does not scratch.No more plastic sponges in my house.Will buy again for myself, my friends and my family. Everybody should use these to reduce the carbon footprint.

Awesome!

This is a great all-around kitchen pad. It cleans where it should and doesn't scratch where it shouldn't. Also, it lasts a fair amount of time.  Intuitively, I want to believe that making this type of product out of walnuts leads to positive results for our planet when compared to competitor's products. I would like to know more from a life cycle aspect when it comes to the environmental aspect of using the walnut pad. But when it comes to value this is a great product.

Amazon packaging aside the pictured card sleeve is the only packaging the scour pads came with so I was impressed there too. The material is soft enough for me to feel confident that it won't damage my pans but still abrasive enough to remove most dirt and it holds dish soap well enough to as a sponge by itself. After a few washes it will start to look fuzzy but it holds together, I expect these to last quite a while. Any issues I expect to have with these r.e. durability and hygiene are issues I'd also have with the plastic fibre equivalents so I won't review based on that.

Works Well

Using these daily, yes they are a little more expensive that cheap brillo/scourer but I was concerned about what happens as a scourer breaks down, the fibres obviously go down the drain, but also some get caught on things, so this eco alternative, for me, is far preferable. On day to day washing it stands up to things, if something is a little stubborn it's the good old soak trick orfind the wire wool!

These scrubbers are great. I especially appreciate their scrubbiness on the parts to my juicer. They seem to do very well on strainer-type kitchen gear, which is tough to achieve. Also handle pots just fine.I also really like that they are (allegedly) compostable and not made of plastic. I tossed in compost pile. Will report back.----Reporting back as promised. I've attached a photo of the scrubbers that I unearthed from the compost pile after being buried for several months. They do not appear to be degrading, like, at all. So I went to the company's web site and discovered that in addition to the walnut shells, the scrubbers also contain plastic. Furthermore, I read the Q&A portion of this listing and someone wrote the company who confirmed that these sponges are not compostable.I feel like their ad here is super misleading. I have no idea whether these scrubbers are more or less environmentally friendly than your average supermarket brand.In sum, a great scrubber. That is not compostable.

Great scrubber - Not compostable

Used to love these when I thought they were compostable, but today I discovered that they are made of 70% plastic. They also don't last a super long time, so I will be switching to a different product. 

I am disappointed that they appear to be compostable and there is no note on the packaging talking about how to dispose of them. I probably have composted some of these in the past. It's not really helpful to be using recycled plastic if it's going to end up back in the environment anyway. Feels like greenwashing to me.

Not compostable?! Feels like greenwashing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I bought these a few years ago, the package said they were made from only walnut shells. How happy to be able to use and compost a cleaning pad instead of throwing it out. The recent purchase of these now says is made from walnut shells and plastic bottles!

Ch-ch-ch-changes?

The front of the package and name of the product is “walnut scour pads” but it's made with 70% plastic ; recycled but still will release microplastics “full circle”. Booo
