Love this durable case. I'ta the only case I've used for my phone for decades. I've never had a an issue with a phone while in an otterbox. And I loveeeeee the stardust glitter. Just enough of a little pop but not too much. I replace it about every 18 -24 months as the clear case has yellowed in the past - a shame since the case doesn't deteriorate so it is wasteful. Hopefully they solve for this.

Durable case - protects my phone.

First time I dropped my new phone with this case the back camera cracked. The protection for the camera is very shallow. Also the case does not go entirely around the camera button which has resulted in a cracked screen protector at that spot. I like the color and its size just not the level of protection.

Lacking in protection

While I understand the camera button on the iPhone is new, I do not like the cut out. It exposes too much of the edge of the iPhone which I would think would take away from the effectiveness when dropping your phone. The cutout also has a sharp edge that is uncomfortable when holding your phone.

Not my favorite

I have been repurchasing this style of Otterbox for my husband for more than 6 years, as it is his favorite. They have all been fairly good quality up until this one. It's now incredibly thin and barely covers the phone. We were both in incredibly disappointed after unboxing and would return it if it didn't cost to do so.

Very disappointed

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and was disappointed to discover that this hard case is so smooth that it has no grip and feels insecure in my smallish hand so I'll return it and consider another case.

Too slick to hold

I've owned 10+ Otterbox cases over the years, and have loved each and ever one of them, but this one just isn't protective, so I immediately returned it. Feedback for the Otterbox Design/Product Team - Please incorporate this camera button design from the LUMEN iPhone 16 Pro Max case a new version of this Otterbox iPhone 16 Pro Max case, and you will have an AMAZING case, as the front edge of the phone and screen where the camera button cutout is will actually have protection vs the huge unprotective cut out notch that this case features - making it not drop proof.

ALMOST protective...

I have been a loyal Otterbox fan for a very long time.  I loved the look and feel of this case when I got it.  As I used it I noticed a lot of dust getting inside the case because of the cut out for the camera button.  I also noticed that it started changing colors.  It was clear and after a couple of weeks it started turning red.  Very strange.

Love Otterbox but the cut out does not work.

It works. I dropped my phone face down on a hard surface and it was fine, but there's this little part at the new button area that is open so the edge just kept getting caught on everything. My pocket, my purse, my wallet, my cup holder in my car. I already replaced it.

Not a good new design

I've used the Symmetry case for my iPhone Pro Max for years (11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and now 16). I've recommended them to everyone for being durable and just enough rubber sides to grip, but not be sticky. IYKYK. Just enough lip to protect the face when laying flat. 

This year for the 16 something has changed. It's way too slippery on the sides. Sturdy still, but too much hard plastic. The camera button cutout is BRUTAL as the edge is sharp, exactly where your thumb goes to hold the phone with your right hand. After a minute it feels like it's cutting the skin. Plus it's hard to use the camera button with the way the notch is designed. Bummer to go another direction and return this. Loved Otter in the past. Maybe they'll redo the case.

Not like it used to be - camera button is terrible

Did not like this at all, returned it.  Have used exclusively otterbox cases for over a decade but the cutout for the new camera button on this one really is an issue.  The phone is completely unprotected in that area and overall it's uncomfortable to hold like that.  Strongly recommend these guys change this setup.
