This remote has to be pointed directly to television in order for it to   change channels.
Other than that it works just fine.D

These are reasonably priced and the same ones that the tech will leave for you after installation.   I ordered four additional remotes and two of them will not retain their programming for the equipment.  My biggest complaint, however, is that they will not turn auxiliary equipment, e.g. receiver, on and off.

Not highly recommended.
