Good product, fast delivery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy installation, well made and updates entry doors to more pleasing style. Although this rating is for SmartKey product the products prefer and installed are not SmartKey. I prefer to have locks rekeyed where I purchased these products.

Looks and performs well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had the opportunity to install this unit just yet, but the quality is apparent. I've bought many affordable doorknobs over the years in a similar price range, and can tell you with certainty this will not disappoint. The metal is heavy and of good quality that will stand up for many years to come. The lock mechanism is smooth and secure as well. Having looked at much pricier units, I can honestly say the simplicity and quality for the price of the Balboa Keyed Entry has my attention. We will be installing this on our sunroom door once we are 

finished with other updates.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this lock set 5 years ago and worked perfectly, but we live in a harsh climate and the exterior locking handle has suffered.  Sent Kwikset a photo and they replaced in a timely fashion “under warranty”.  Thank you.

Excellent warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this product. The fact that it features Microbam is very new to me, and this day and age, I think it is a fantastic idea. ￼ it was super easy to install, and the smart key feature on it, another great idea! I use this on the interior door going into my garage. ￼

Very sturdy door handle

I installed this lever and it looks and works well. When I tested the emergency lock however I found that it was VERY difficult to align the emergency unlock tool into the necessary slot that will unlock the latch. When you put the tool into the little hole in the lever it has many different ways to move around in there. I was able to find the right position eventually but it's not easy. Even after knowing how it should "feel" when properly inserted it's difficult at best. In case of an emergency, like a little kid stuck inside the bathroom, it could take too long to unlock the door. Maybe that could be improved.

Good product but for the emergency privacy lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm resetting the lock with the Allen wrench so I can lock the door or it will not lock. This happens usually every 1-2 months. When I'm in a hurry my house is unlocked because the lock needs to be tighten by the Allen wrench.

It's ok

The directions were terrible. No mention on how to change the levers and or directions on how to reverse the key lock. Had to go on line and search you tube videos that provided the information. There were many comments on line from dissatisfied people noting that Kwikset instructions do not provide the information on what is required to perform a correct installation with lever handles and key orientation in the correct position. I wasted several hours performing the research. Do not buy this product!!!!!!!!!!!!

POOR INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second time in 3 years we have had to replace this handle. In fact another handle on a different door will need to be replaced next. They are junk and keep breaking. The door lever still moves but the pin that open and closes the door quits working so our door gets stuck shut. It is embarrassing when it is our front door as we can no longer use it when this happens.
