The image of this TV is very clear and precise. The colors are wow! I use the smart app to access my subscriptions. I don’t use my Apple TV anymore. However, I hit a bug to activate Google Home. I hope I can solve it because I use Google to control my luminaires with several automations. I still give a rating of 5 out of 5 for the image quality and the device control app and remote control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Going from a 2017 Samsung 4K TV was always going to be an upgrade but the upgrade to OLED is breathtaking. I bought the C5 primarily for gaming, which is fantastic with the game optimiser, increased refresh rate and HDR. After upgrading Netflix and Disney+ to let me watch Dolby Vision shows, I honestly can't imagine going back to an LCD/QLED TV. The blacks are fully black and even in dark scenes you can see every detail. Whilst it's quite a price increase over a QLED/lower price point MiniLED, the difference is immense.

Outstanding Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already had a Freely box (Manhattan Aero 4k) and Sonos Beam 2 setup. I was looking for something that would give an excellent quality picture and sound. We no longer have a tv aerial (reception here is poor, especially in the summer) and so I cannot comment on broadcast live tv.

I have to admit that I had not realised how much bigger this screen would be (we had a 40" Panasonic before) and I have come in for some stick from my wife who has always said that she did not want the tv to dominate our living room. However, we have both quickly got used to the new size and it does mean that we can watch from further away in the room as well as close up.

There are a lot of settings to try out and it has taken a while to find what we like best, but that is to be expected. I am very pleased with the depth of colour and contrast that the OLED screen provides. UHD on BBC iPlayer for looks superb. Dolby Vision and Atmos is equally good from Amazon Prime. Playing Mario Kart with the grandchildren works better with a four-way split on the bigger screen.

I bought direct from the LG website at the lowest price I have seen. It arrived promptly and was easy to unpack and connect up.

Happy with my Purchase

I’m very pleased with the TV overall. The picture is very good and depth of colours is excellent. Sound is not quite as good as my last TV but is still impressive. The magic pointer takes some getting used to but is good once you do. My only minor gripe is getting adverts on the Home Screen as soon as you switch on, although it takes only a few seconds to find the app you want and get away from them.

Great picture; the sound takes a bit of experimenting to fund the sweet spot. Really glad I found several videos online to help me change the default settIngs to give me a better user experience. I still find the menus cumbersome to navigate but I suppose I’ll get used to them in time. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.

Very pleased with my purchase

Great picture, but issues with freeview tuning. The tv changed bbc regions all by itself from west midlands to east midlands. East midlands region has no signal, so I had to retune it. This happened 3 times.Took a lot of googling and several different setting changes to find a solution. Probably caused by ahto channel update, or the LG channels. But it is now working fine.
Also there is no U:TV player, which i used on my old tv, and no FreeviewPlay either.

Great picture, but some issues with live tv tuning

We find it hard to sort out all the settings. First we have to set the HDMI input each time we turn the TV on, we are still looking through the 166 page user manual to work it out. Our Sony soundbar doesn't always connect even though it is connected to the TV using the optical port and it is set as the Sound Out but when we switch HDMI inputs it looses the connection. We have to keep it set to Optical + TV Speaker and they can get out of sync where one mutes and the other does not

Not enough "Default Settings"

Picture quality great. Sound is awful, it's either too tinny or adjust the settings and it sounds like a box has been stuck over the TV.
The hub constantly goes offline and the LG assistant is useless.
Had to factory reset the TV a few times to get apos to show/ work properly.
Having to buy extra kit as it constantly buffers whilst streaming on my 910mb fibre connection.
I've had LG TVs for 20+ years and this has been the most expensive and most disappointing TV I've had in that time.
