Safety Tips for Lithium-Ion Batteries

The box was delivered quickly and as advertised.  The conversation Was done easily within 2 hours.  Added a 48v16ah battery and the setup was simple.  This is a beginner kit and is good for basic commuting.   No computer or pedal assist.  It will do 40kms/h on flat surface.   I'm going to order a second kit for my wife.

Great e-bike conversation kit.

Have almost completed the installation. Others recommend a torque kit to front fork. I will use it to prevent damage to the fork dropouts. Since this wheel was a bit smaller than the one it replaced i went for a 160 mm conversion kit to a disc brake system. That required lots of modifications to the brackets provided but probably due to the bike never designed for it. I recommend attaching the controller somewhere open. It needs to stay cool. DO NOT put it in the bag provided as this will interfere with heat dissipation. The bike really does not have much space for the battery and keeping the center of gravity as low as possible is important hence i put it on the lower cross bar and not on a back carrier. So i settled for a 10 AmpHour 48 volt one. I plan on limiting the output from the controller to about 10 amps goving about 480 watts of power. This to not reduce the life of the battery.

Installation ideas

I haven't had the kit for very long and unfortunately the bike riding season is pretty much gone for the year. I was able to take it on a 10 km ride about a week ago and took it on a trail that has some fairly substantial hills and it handled the incline without any difficulty .  I got it on sale so feel that it is good value for the money I spent.
