Classic case of being drawn in by a product that looks good on-line along with a low Wal-Mart price, but that if you could try the product out before buying you never would. The brush fibers are of very poor quality (nylon-like and not stiff at all) and started falling out immediately, even before assembling the brush head to the rod. The milling of the threads (on the rods for the individual fireplace tools) and the holes they join with was very poor; two of the rods would not even thread into the holes on the business-end of the tools. As an aside, the log-handler tool (intended to pick up wood pieces with) is not useful; your hands are much better for that particular task. In summary, all I got useable from this purchase was a wood poker and the ash shovel. The factory that made this in China has a long way to go in quality control, and Wal-Mart should think twice about how something this poorly manufactured is making it into their supply chain.

Poor quality

The fireplace set looked well made and stylish. I was excited and couldn't wait for it to get here. When it did though it was broken. How you can break something that seems so durable and solid is beyond me. The box itself was obviously not handled with care and dented and broken in places. Needless to say this was returned. I don't know that I'll be ordering from Walmart.com again. Maybe in-store purchases would be safer.
