I have used roughneck storage boxes for 40 years. I am a potter and I have stored glaze in them. The large one holds 150 lbs of wet glaze. Not one has ever failed.
My recent order of 6 medium boxes are for downsizing my pottery in retirement.
My son is carrying on the business, in fact he will carry all the pots to a craft show.
They can be stacked 3 high without fear of collapse.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have ordered these twice. I have an organized garage and an organized basement thanks to Rubbermaid!  I have purchased other brands over the years, but the Rubbermaid bins I have had for over 30 years are still strong, and no breaks or cracks. They hold everything! The material is unmatched and very strong! Can't go wrong with rubbermaid!

Rubbermaid makes the best containers that hold up to use. There is no cracking of the hard plastic  or handles snapping off like with other brands.  I have some that are over 10 years old that I use for storage.

I have many of these totes from years ago,  They have held up well.  I'm not sure these new ones will be as  long-lasting.  Yes, they are better than the plastic ones in the stores, but these are much thinner than the old ones.  I'm disappointed.  Rubbermaid, Why did you change these?  I would pay more just to have the older type back.

Okay, but not as "Rough" as the old ones

Recently purchased 8 of the 14 Gallon roughnecks for camping and storage.
Expected to receive product similar to what I have had, and used for years.
Instead, I received product that looks and feels like the "other brand" that is very thin, brittle and cheap.  It is sad that the competition has forced RubberMaid to take such action. Have always been a very dedicated customer of RubberMaid products.
Not sure if I can remain same ....... so sad...

Not like the original .....

seems theyre making this with a lighter flimsier plastic than they used to, makes stacking high less possible....dissapointing, but still happy to be able to get the product

not the same tote as 10 years ago...

We apparently had a previous version and loved them. But these are
not as good as before. They are OK but wouldn't purchase them again. They are thinker and the lids do not stay closed as well.

Reduced Quality

I bought 5 of this roughneck on line and when I got them they where of much cheaper material that some I had bought before on stores, they where the exact same match but the plastic was a lot thinner so they would bend a lot easier specially if you stack them.

Quality is a lot cheaper, material much thinner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Listed as a pack of six. Received only 1 tote container and the company expects me to fall for 1 14 gal tote being %2627 and that Walmart had an error for the listing. These 6 totes were marked down from $125 to $27 if it was originally only one and an error on Walmart then why would it be $125 if it was only one small 14 gal size?  Do not fall for this false advertising and the only thing the co will do is hand you send back the one you received instead of sending the missing 5.
