I purchased one to measure for trim and crown molding. So much easier to get an accurate measurement and, unlike a tape, I can do it by myself without have to drag out a second ladder for my wife to climb to hold the other end. I even use this when I am in the field with my camera as a focusing aid. By knowing a close my foreground subject is from my camera, I can get everything in focus.

I bought my Bosch Professional GLM 20 several months ago and it is so easy to use!  It's so small I can carry it in my purse to use as needed. I did have a problem today when it switched from ft. / in to meters when I measured an outdoor space in the dark. I came in and did a search and found it a very simple fix. Simply turn it off, then turn it back on while continually holding the button. It will cycle between m/“/‘ “ (meters/inches/feet-inches).  It's now fixed!

Love this tool!

This laser measure is very simple to use, you simply turn it on and it gives real-time measurements (you can set it for ft or mm). Press the button again and it will hold that measurement, so you don't have to worry about remembering. I tested it against a tape measure multiple times and it was spot on every time.

Easy to use and very accurate!

I bought it and i love it use it everywhere. But some how it switched to meters on me and i cant get it bavk to inches how do i switch it back. I threw away the operating manual need help

Help

The product was easy to use right out of the box. Seems to work quite well. I could not figure out how/where to connect the provided lanyard to the tool. Minor thing. Otherwise, highly recommended for general household use.

Easy to use...

Works exactly as stated.  Frees me from carrying large and heavy tape measures and requiring someone to hold the other end of the tape or making allowances for tape "sag" and bends.  Makes measuring 8'+ ceiling heights particularly easy.

Great product

Excellent tool for estimates and layouts.  Extremely accurate, no need to stretch tapes across a brand new granite counter for a backsplash measurement!

Easy to use and carry

Although you cant replace a tape meassure or wheel in every application, this laser is a life saver. I use it in indoor applications to measure kitchens, bathrooms, ceilings, walls and flooring. It doubles as a laser pointer to help point things out to customers too! 
I love this thing and I dont know how I lived without it.

Worth its weight in tungsten!

Works as advertised and is a great quality product.  The only issue I had is that I accidentally switched the units from Feet-inches to only inches!  I did not know how to switch it back.  Looked everywhere online and no one seemed to address how to toggle between units. Sooo... I finally figured it out.  In the "off" position, press and hold the button.  This will turn on the device but also begin to toggle between different units (ft-in, in, and m)  Everything seems really easy in retrospect but it was pretty frustrating for a while.  So for not being intuitive enough or providing instructions you lose a star. Otherwise, amazing, compact, reliable, product.

Works fantastic!

I use these laser disto for site surveying spaces prior to large meetings and events. I added this to my tool bag for smaller projects because of its size and ease of use. Often my hands are full and I am busy trying to talk to clients and staff and having something that I can quickly through in my pocket to shake someone's hand, then just as quick remove and get back to work is great. The 65ft is limiting, and i have used other devices that work better outdoors. But for it's size and price point, this thing is great.

Great for smaller work

Purchased this about six months ago and it worked very well with regular use.  Took it out yesterday and the laser is no longer functioning.  The measure cycles through all the various types of measurements, but no laser regardless of setting.  I've changed batteries.  Still not working.  This thing is not cheap.  And of course, it dies on a project with fussy measurements in tight spaces for a closet remodel.  Very unhappy.  I'll be looking at other options as it's obvious from reviews that this thing is not reliable and I'm not the only person with this issue. Perhaps at a lower price point this would be expected, but this is a non starter at this price point for this item.

As others have noted, expensive piece of junk.
