[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the 77-inch LG G6 OLED up on the wall in our lounge, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with it. The flush Gallery Design is amazing, it sits completely flat against the wall and looks incredibly smart – no messy cables or clunky gaps.The picture quality is genuinely brilliant. The new MLA panel makes a massive difference to the brightness, especially when watching HDR films, whilst still keeping those perfectly deep, inky blacks that OLEDs are known for. 

Whether we're settling in for a movie night or playing PlayStation, it handles the motion perfectly without any lag.

If you're debating whether to take the plunge on this year's model, I'd highly recommend it. It's a stunning bit of kit and easily the best TV I've ever owned.

An absolutely brilliant telly – worth every penny!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After spending some time with the LG G5… honestly, this TV is ridiculous.

The picture quality is incredible. Super bright for an OLED, amazing contrast, and colours look much more natural and cinematic than my previous Samsung S90D. Everything just has more depth and realism instead of that overprocessed “wow” effect.

Gaming and movies both look stunning, and paired with the Q990D it feels properly premium.

Now the honest bit: There is some visible dithering / faint diagonal noise in very dark scenes or bad quality content if you look closely. Apparently it's a common WOLED thing rather than a fault, but worth mentioning because once you notice it, you notice it.

That said… with normal content I barely see it anymore because the TV overall just looks that good.

No TV is perfect, but the G5 is easily the best TV I've owned so far. 🥰

LG G5: The Best TV I've Owned… With One Small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the same Sony Bravia HD TV since 2013 and thought it was time for an upgrade. I spent hours looking at the pros and cons of OLED vs mini led and different models from Samsung, Panasonic, Sony and LG. I had looked at my personal space and decided I did not want anything over 50 inches and many companies only seem to start their high end models from 55 inches onwards. I decided on the LG for a number of reasons - it was OLED at 48 inches, it had significantly higher peak brightness than many other OLEDs and also had four HDMI 2.1 connections, which allows me to game on it via my pc. I am very impressed with the TV, the picture is clear and sharp, with great colour accuracy in filmmaker mode - there is no issue with response time in games and the upscaling, even on old DVDs is great. As it was not much more than the C5 I decided to get the flagship and am very happy with my choice.

A significant upgrade

This is the best TV out there I had the 55" version just before christmas, and so impressed by it the picture quality is honestly second to non, I have the soundbar set up with this one and boy is it good, the 48" one is in our bedroom and again unbeatable picture and sound, My wife is visually impaired, these Tv's allow her to see the tv so much better than the samsung ones we had, so Mr LG thank you my wife is happy and if she is I am

Unrivaled And unique Excellent

I haven't upgraded my TV for about 7 years, and can't believe how far we've come. This TV far exceeded all expectations, and since seeing it several family members are now saving for a new LG OLED. Can't recommend this highly enough.

Outstanding OLED TV

Better than I've expected. Out of the box calibration is good for most of the viewers. But you may perform slightly advanced calibration and you'll get the brilliant colors, sharpness and ext. According to my opinion this tv you can compare only with Samsung s95f. Depends only on preferences. Have a good one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought as a second TV after buying and being really impressed with a  OLED55G56LS.  The OLED48G56LS is a different design rather than just a smaller panel and nowhere as good a picture.  Be aware and cautious if you only see the 55.

Disappointed

For the price tag, the initial setup is a burden.
The user interface is filled with useless and unnecessary cards. What is it with all the ads? Really LG? A 2000 + TV with ads? Do you lack business innovation to that extent?

TV set up is a pain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To get straight to the point…. Picture quality and sound quality are amazing. There are a lot of options in settings. It sits flat against the wall.

However, the operative system (web iOS I believe) is quite disappointing and annoying. “Home Screen” several section that if you don’t need, you can’t remove. For example there is a “card section” for various services. Even though you can remove all the “cards” you are still left with massive notification “add cards…”. Above all there is a random photo with a notification “start new experience…” and “go to apps”. I don’t understand why that is there. I’m already using apps which are displayed directly underneath and also I have been using TV for quite some time so there is no need for “welcome to webOS”.

Below that there are shortcuts to “device functions” aka guides for new users. Once again, there is no need for that as I have been using tv and yet you can’t remove that either.

All in all, this webOS reminds me of early android phones that had loads of bloatware and you couldn’t remove it.


If I knew this upfront I would have not purchased this TV, now I’m stuck with a premium product that operates like a low end android phone.

Disappointing :(
