I bought three racks total for all my shoes. I hung one on the back of the door into a wall-mounted. This required putting a board screwed to the wall acting like the top of the door to hang from. 
 Be sure to check the connectors, and if needed, but a drop of super glue so they don't come apart. 
 I also secured the bottoms to keep them from flapping when removing shoes are closing the door.

Easy to assemble and install

Easy to put together, and strong.  Holds 36 pair of shoes, just as they claimed.  I love it.  I use it inside my closet door for my precious shoes, and use a mesh one on the outside.  I am happy with this purchase.

Really Nice Shoe Rack, 36 Pairs Of Shoes!!!!

I read the reviews before buying and was static that the shoes would be sliding.  They don't! It's wise but fits perfect on the door! Super easy to assemble! 
2.5 pairs of standard men's shoes fit on each raw

Love it!

My only complaint is that in order for my shoes not to slide out the back everytime I open my door or bump it was to secure it. There were no screws sent in the package so I used left over command strips. So far so good, but overall I am happy with this show rack.

Happy with this shoe rack

I am very pleased with this item.  Just one small problem - you may need to screw it into the door to keep shoes from falling off.  On the whole - totally worth it.

Whitmor 36-Pair Over-the-Door Shoe Rack

This is not a good contraption at all. Easy to assemble, but thats the only good thing about this. Doesnt fit 32 pairs of shoes foe starters. I have vans and crocs and i got about 2 pairs per shelf. Also, your shoes will fall off many times. Since there wasnt anything to secure the rack to the door besdues at the top, my shoes constantly would fall between the rack and the door, causing a waterfall of the rest of the shoes. Not worth it. Will be finding something else.

Not good at all

Not very sturdy and convenient. Only big shoes can be kept, flip flops or flat shoes keep falling due to more space between those rod. Very hard to nail,  I made holes to fit tha nail but it did not work very well. Very disspointing.

Wall hanging shoe stand

Shoes do not stay on the rack.  They slide right off if I close the door too hard.  Had to affix the bottom to the door with command strips.  Hopefully this will work.

I am quite disappointed with the quality of this rack.  I saw it on Pinterest as a great way to store ribbon spools, but it keeps falling apart. Its like the crossbars are a little too short to stay connected to the side rails. I thought that maybe the spoils were just too lightweight so I tried it with actual shoes, and it just completely fell apart. I had to glue it together, which totally defeated the purpose for which I purchased the thing.

Not worth the trouble

This is a bunch of junk.  Do not buy it.  The metal rods do not stay in place, they fall out.  I threw it out the next day.
