I have had ceramic knives in the past and really liked them; however I learned quickly that they break easily.  However, they were a lesser value knife than the ones I purchased recently through WalMart.  So, far I am very happy with the ceramic knives.  They are very sharp.  I wash them by hand.  (I live alone so do not use the dishwasher)  After time, I will see how they hold up, but up to now, I am very happy with them.

The knives are stylish, easy to use, and have covers which is good. However, after only one week, the main knife I was using to chop vegetables had a large chip come off of the point. I know it's thin because it's sharp but it shouldn't break off. I tossed all the food I was preparing since I didn't want someone to get a knife chip in their food. When I am able to save the money for an alternative set, I will be buying stainless steel.
