I looked at quite a few different saws before deciding on the CS10. I found that most manufacturers were made to the same specifications with very minor differences, and for mainly the same price. So the differentiating factor was the fit and finish, and in that area the Bosch won. It looks and feels substantial and durable, the weight was perfect - not too light that you would have a hard time keeping it in line, not too heavy to use for any length of time. Didn't have as long of a warranty, but having many other Bosch tools, I know that I won't need to use it anyway.

Accurate and smooth

I bought this saw because i always heard great stuff about Bosch tools. This saw was square right out of the box and the shoe is also parallel to the blade. I used an upgraded 40 tooth blade and a simple straight edge and got table saw quality cuts on 3/4" cabinet grade plywood. I like the convenient depth setting gauge labeled for plywood and also 2x stock. This saw has plenty of power and is quieter than other saws i have used that cost alot more (one is twice as much and doesn't cut as nice). I also had no problems with flex on the base, Bosch must have repaired this issue as the store model didn't either.

great saw, great price

I've been using this saw on a weekly basis for the last three years. No other saw I've owned in the last 20 years has held up as well as my Bosch. 

I love the visibility, and this thing has a great sight-line while cutting. The motor has been rock solid, even after some hard use cutting a bunch of 8/4 hardwoods for 90 minutes straight. 

It's comfortable, it's powerful, and it's RELIABLE. I don't know what else you could ask for! 

Will recommend to anyone. 10/10!

The best 7-1/2 saw on the market!

In general, this product works well but some improvement are required. The quadrant is not well adjusted. For a 90 degrees angle, I have to adjust it 1/8" below the line. The other graduation are not usable. The depth adjustment at 2x is giving a cut of 1 5/8" instead of 2" as indicated in the operating instruction.

This product works well but...

I would give this saw excellent ratings all round for most features. It is light, well balanced, easy adjustment controls and the truss hook is extremely useful when up in the roof. It cuts nicely, although we have noticed it tends to wobble or wander a little when cutting a long chalkline in plywood. Also, including a rip fence in the bag would be nice.
But the only real problem so far is the Adjustable Bevel Lever on the front of the saw. It is plastic and in a very exposed position. In only 8 months, it has broken off twice. Been now unable to cut bevels renders the saw almost useless on the roof and strips away the benefit of the truss hook. To see it break once is one thing, but twice sends up warning flags. So despite my otherwise excellent opinion of this saw, that one lever prevents me from recommending it. It has to be able to cut bevel angles.

Good saw, but major flaw

I bought 2 of these 3 weeks ago and have exchanged them both and finally returned one of them I would have returned both but I lost one receipt. All 4 saws had a table defect of 4 degree of zero and no possible way to correct. so every time you changed the angle when you brought it back you had to offset by 4 degree to be straight. I put the saw aside and won't use it because it cost time. All other bosch tools I own are very good though.

dissapointment

Disappointing! The good points are the saw hook and that it's light and powerful. The negative is after checking the cutting angle and adjusting for squareness the alignment screw is holding by just one or two threads and the the bevel scale is off significantly. With the initial adjustment to 90 degrees making the bevel gauge inaccurate the bevel detents are also useless. Now bevels must be set manually with a gauge between the detents making this chore even more difficult. Not up to the standards expected of Bosch.

Bosch - CS10

After a few days of use, the saw does has a design shortcoming that might effect you getting a perfect square cut. The saw motor seats about 1/8" above the base, it does NOT make contact with the base. When you push down on the saw handle, the saw motor (and the blade) flex a bit to fill this gap, causing a non square cut. You have to custom fit a piece of wood to fill this gap to prevent the flex, so the pressure on the saw handle, does not force the blade to angle away at the bottom.... the base is a bit flimsy to start with, even though its magnesium, this gap is clearly the weak link in the design. Not sure what the heck Bosch design engineers were thinking. Hard to imagine a tool designer could miss this. I use the saw for rough cutting, so I find my fix acceptable, but shame on Bosch for selling such a tool, and not producing a fix, such as a slide-in insert to remove the gap, to prevent the flex. oh well...

major flaw if you want square cuts....

I had the same issue mentioned about the saw flexing and staying out of square with two saws now. My rep was unreal in getting me a replacement for the first one (I noticed it after cutting a refinished fir door). The new replacement one was pulled out of the box day 1 of a frame job and within a day it too was jamming and staying out of square to the base (out of squre to the left opposite the bevel angle). I have since returned it and picked up a different saw. Like I said I love all my other Bosch tools but this one fell well short of what I have come to expect from Bosch....

I love my Bosch...just not this one...

Hi just bought a CS-10 because a friend of mine had one on the job site and it felt very smooth. However I just pulled it out of the box and the blade was out of square with the foot....right out of the box! I adjusted with the set screw but there is no way to zero the bevel gauge which is currently showing 3-4 degrees out. There's nothing more annoying to me to purchase a product that is defective right out of the box...also the seems to be issues with the foot plate flexing. I'm taking this saw back. You think after 4 years of this known issue, Bosch would do something about it! I'll stick to your drill products!
