[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little, lightweight circular saw gets the job done! I was redoing my outdoor porches ceiling and needed to cut some plywood and a few 2 x 4's. It was easy to use, cut with ease, accuracy %26 was perfect for the job I needed it to do. This is going to be something I use again %26 again for my little projects! 100%!

I love my Black n Decker Circular Saw! It's easy to align and it  cut's with strong power. It leaves great results.  A great value for a great easy-to-use product. You can't go wrong with this product..

Stanley Black And Decker

The Black & Decker 13 Amp 7-1/4" Circular Saw requires some minor modifications to get accurate cuts. First and foremost, the included 18T General Purpose Wood Cutting blade is very dull and will flex with use. I used the stock blade to breakdown partially rotted dimensional lumber – pictured - for firewood, then later disposed of it in the municipal metal scrap bin. Most aftermarket blades will cut far better than the included blade, and I sometimes use steel alloy blades that will even cut better than the stock blade. The other modification this saw will likely require is to remove material from the bevel stop. I used a rotary tool and an abrasive bit to grind the down stop – pictured - and allow for a true 90 degree cut. This modification could instead be done with a flat file, or even sandpaper glued to a piece of plywood. To achieve accurate cuts, I also use a square to set the bevel – pictured - and ignore the markings on the bevel gauge. The sole of this circular saw is stamped steel so it will flex somewhat, but the bevel stops and blade depth should be set on any saw, regardless of the design. I purchased my Black & Decker 13 Amp 7-1/4" Circular Saw during a “Red Hot Buy” from ACE Hardware, so I paid a super low price for a very capable saw. But, overall I would not recommend this saw to a friend because of the necessary modifications for an accurate cut.

OK saw ,for price and rpm for its size,the supplied guide square sould be 1.1mm wider as there is a 1.1mm play or space on the base plate  were it goes in to be mounted the 45 degree angle and blade height lock lever could be better untensions wen cutting second cut,has to be checked prior each cut

This is my second saw of this model; the first was returned for the same problem I have with my current one. The blade is not square to the shoe and the shoe is warped. Other than that, every time I pull the trigger the blade spins and the lasers turns on. The build quality is very good; other than the saw being crooked. When following a line or the laser, the saw bogs down because the blade tries to work its way to the right instead of staying true to the cut. It also doesn't cut straight vertically (see photo). I would recommend this saw to someone else if all you need are rough cuts. If you want a saw that can cut straight, this is not a good choice.

Cuts every time, but never square

i needed a saw to work on small home projects and bought this model. Opened the box to put it together and found bolt to hold the blade on was not included for some reason. I was not able to use the saw that day or as of yet until I can get a bolt to assemble it. Very disappointed in this, black and decker has been used by myself and my family for years...
