Loved my 60" Samsung that lasted 13 years and still working. But this LG 77" is levels beyond. The colors, there resolution is unbelievable. Everything is crystal clear. I'm sure the sound is wonderful also but I use a high end Marantz with Klipsch speakers.

Had 3 LG OLED's(55 Gallery 65EP/3D Tv and now the 83 G5):over the last 9yrs.  All are/were amazing TV's.  Find myself watching my 4K Blu-ray collection all over again.

LG For Life

Best TV ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this TV about a month ago now to replace an older 65 inch LG nano 91. The difference is night and day, the contrast on the OLED is just perfect, those black are amazing. The colours are bright and punchy especially on Good HDR/Dolby Vision content. Personally I'm not a fan of Movie Maker mode, I find it too dark. Gaming on a PS5 looks great after readjusting the HDR settings which automatically came up when I connected it to the new TV. Overall this was the top dog at the time only to be surpassed by the G6 which replaces this.

Amazing OLED

I purchased my tv just over a month ago and am generally very impressed. The picture quality is extremely good and the picture is very bright even when the sun is shining in the room. The blacks are very black and contrast is also extremely good. The overall viewing experience is top quality. Image resolution is first class and with an almost 80 inch screen you become involved in the action and the experience is quite immersive.

The brightness is exceptional, and resolution & colour accuracy is brilliant. This is my first OLED TV and i'm loving it! Worth every penny! This is great for gaming & very versatile, it delivers incredibly deep inky blacks & great sound without a soundbar. Amazing viewing experience.

Brilliant TV

The picture quality is sharp, with vibrant colours and strong contrast, especially when watching movies and sports. The 4K resolution makes a noticeable difference compared to my old TV.

The built-in smart features are easy to navigate. Apps load quickly, and switching between streaming services is smooth. The remote is simple and responsive, and setting it up took less than 15 minutes from unboxing to watching content. 

Sound quality is good for a flat-screen TV, though I 

paired it with a soundbar for a better experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned a lot of TVs over the years, but the LG OLED77G54LW is on another level entirely. From the moment it powered on, the picture quality was genuinely jaw-dropping. The contrast is what really sets it apart. Blacks are truly black, and the brightness makes highlights pop in a way that feels incredibly cinematic without ever looking artificial.

Watching films on this feels like having a private cinema at home. Dolby Vision content looks stunning, with incredible detail in both dark scenes and bright ones. You start noticing things in movies you’ve watched for years that you never saw before.

Gaming has also been phenomenal. With the near-instant response time and smooth motion, everything feels incredibly fluid. Fast scenes remain razor sharp and immersive.

What surprised me most was the viewing angles. Even when sitting off to the side, the colours and contrast stay consistent. That makes a big difference in a family living room where everyone isn’t sitting directly in front of the screen.

The design is also beautiful. Mounted on the wall it looks more like a piece of art than a television. The slim gallery design makes it blend into the room perfectly.

But the real magic is the sense of immersion. The combination of deep contrast, brilliant brightness, and massive 77-inch screen pulls you right into whatever you’re watching.

Honestly, this is the first TV I’ve owned where guests walk into the room and immediately say “wow”. If you want a television that genuinely feels like a generational leap in picture quality, this is it.

Just Wow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The image quality is fantastic and exactly what I expected. Bright, sharp, and genuinely impressive.

Unfortunately the software experience lets it down. webOS feels limiting compared with a proper Google TV setup. I cannot install native Google TV or Android TV friendly apps, so I am forced to stick to whatever is available in the webOS app catalogue.

Bluetooth audio is also fiddly. If I use an external Bluetooth speaker, after powering the TV off and back on the speaker often needs reconnecting again, which gets annoying fast.

The remote is another disappointment. It has lots of shortcut buttons for apps I do not use and I find that inconvenient. Other brands offer remotes without these shortcuts, and at this price I expected more premium attention to detail.

There are also missing quality of life features that are standard on Google TV, like automatically launching a chosen app after power on.

Finally, I do not use cable, aerial or satellite input at all, so I do not need channel tuning or TV related menus, yet there is no option to disable that side of the interface and hide it properly.

Overall, an excellent panel held back by the platform and small but constant annoyances.
