[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Mityvac Fluid Excavator is a nicely built piece of kit. I like the fact the hand pump is metal. This piece of equipment makes oil changes much easier and cleaner (no spills). The unit is simple to operate. Select the vacuum position, and pump the unit a few times and let the unit do what it was designed to do----fluid evacuation. No more crawling under vehicles with a fluid pan and risking spills!

Oil changes made much simpler and cleaner

Works great, just changed the oil on my car and sucked out all 8 1/2 qts., emptied the oil pan.  A little slower than draining but no mess at all, never even had to wipe off my hands. And don't have to jack up the car and crawl underneath. Well worth it.

Positive experience.

The pump was not pumping correctly. So I contacted the manufacturer for advice. After I described the problem,he determined a faulty valve was the culprit. Then he asked where I got the unit from. I told him it was from jet.com. He told me that is not an authorized distributor. I needed to contact jet.com to have the valve replaced. There was nothing he can do. I had no choice but to return the unit to the seller, Beach Audio in Redondo Beach Ca.
