this thing has a cool little light that comes off like a little flash light, Works great and has a powerful usb plug for my Iphone. It also talks to you and tells you how the car battery is doing, hi tech!

Very Cool little removable flash light

This device is far too noisy. Sounds like an internal fan, which surprised me but may be necessary for power inverters (I have no experience with them). However, this one makes a continuous high-pitched whine -- pitch varies more or less randomly, volume is audible even at highway speeds and very irritating in the city.

I thought maybe it was just a defective unit so I exchanged it -- same thing. I used to service computers for a living, so I know something about fan noise. This noise would be unacceptable even for a laptop, let alone a tiny device such as this. I returned the second unit for a refund. (I'm glad I bought it at a retail store. This would have been a serious hassle if I had bought it online.)

By the way, the tiny flashlight is cute, but not really bright enough to be of much use. I'm not sure I could even read a map with it. It is powered by a replaceable 3V lithium battery. I had assumed it was rechargeable.

Noisy

Expensive and Extremely Noisy, used to power a laptop it killed the car battery in less than 30 min and the AC port died too after that.
Can't expect much from a walmart brand.
