The sound gets kind of loud but can't handle the bass and or loudness I need from it. It's ok at a lower volume and less bass setting, not my cup of tea. If you're lookin for big bass sound and loudness, this isn't it for you either. Would be good home theater sound though for sure. I'd post a picture of them but already threw them in the trash. Now waiting on better quality but more expensive subs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 6" subwoofer element in a 35 year old Zenith tuned port subwoofer box. After some jig sawing and new mount hole drilling, this 8" exceeds expectations. Also bought and installed a subwoofer crossover in the box. A bridged Peavey CS200X amp drives this without distortion or break down even with strong Bass EDM or Trance. Dual coils wired in series to give 8 Ohms but double magnetic field to drive the cone. Volume starts to drop off sharp at about 45Hz.

Rebuilt a 35 Year old Sub box

Rated for 800 watts had it hooked up to a 500 watt amp and at half gain the coil went out right away and the sub was no good luckily it was on sale and not much money waisted but I would not buy again that's for sure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when converting into 2ohm you cant have much power to it, the center gets hot and smells like its about to catch fire. however if you keep it at 4ohm impedance and under 400w its great, anything over 400w mine was distorting it wasnt to the point of not understanding just annoying, i made a portable sound system with 600w and 1000w before the slim subs came about so it fits in a backpack when i walk around i use it, the heaviest part is the speaker, i get compliments on it and people can hear me a few blocks away so when i replace or upgrade things my ears get picky and hear things most people dont

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's really a nice speaker but it's the wrong size that I needed, it was a 6 inch speaker I needed  now I have it so I'll be sending the 8 inch back

Really nice speakers

I am very satisfied with this product. Its an 8 inch sub so don't expect it to blow the roof off your car but man for 20 bucks this thing is awesome! Sounds real nice (with appropriate enclosure) and uses little space. Definitely recommend it.
