Nice chairs for the price

I have had many problem with my back and needed something that would be sturdy and comfortable. I also wanted the flexibility of a swivel chair with adjustable height for counter top height. This chair is amazing. Great looking, comfortable, sturdy, not cheap looking at all. I love it and recommend for anyone who wants to spend hours in front of a computer that is on a counter bar area. Great and easy to assemble too.

I am using it for my workbench. I broke my hip and the seat is plenty wide for me. The adjustment makes it very easy to get in and out of. I love it!

Great Chair

I like the bar stool very much. I wish the foot rest wrapped all around. It looks good. Seems very sturdy.

Height adjustment works well too.
I actually use it for playing my guitar. Good as an instrument stool too.

Nice one

I bought two of these. They look great. When I sit on them it feels like your leaning forward. The chair seems almost like its for kids, i'm not sure why, i guess it just seems small.

Assembly was a snap.

Oh and then a week after I bought them one of the handles broke off... I wouldn't buy again!

Not what I expected

Looked exactly like the picture with one exception. The back of the stool on all of the eight I ordered tends to lean forward. For my purposes not very many people lean back on the stool but usually lean forward when at a bar. High polished chrome with leather look seat and easy to adjust the height, plus a just right foot rest. Overall presents a nice looking stool.

8 BAR STOOLS FOR BAR

Very disappointed in this chair. It's a very attractive chair and I love the look,but, is not comfortable to sit in. The pedestal support attached to the bottom of the seat is so minimal that the chair tends to lean forward when you sit in it. The back of the seat leans in so you can't sit up straight. Considering what they cost, I expected a better chair. If I would have had the chance to sit in this chair before I purchased it I never would have bought them.

Disappointed

According to the instructions, once the chairs have been locked together they cannot be taken apart. This has something to do with the "hydraulics" of the chair, I assume.

I put one together and then sat in it. Horrible. I am 5'4" and the chair hit me all wrong. It pushed my lower back forward - making me feel like I was being pushed out of the chair (it's like a constant back arch). If you are leaning forward, like at a bar - then this would be fine - but mine were intended to go around a high table for leisurely, enjoyable eating purposes. The base of the seat was very small and hit my thighs in such a way that again you feel like you are hanging off the chair. I found it to be quite uncomfortable.

My 6'4" boyfriend did not like them either. He said he got the same sensation - like you are sitting on a chair that is way too small. Frankly, we felt the sizing of the seat would be perfect for children (not toddlers). However, I should point out that because of the way the chair is made, the chair will not raise up if you are sitting in it or have your feet on the footbar. You have to get off the chair and use the lever to let it go up and then get back on it. The chair will lower with you sitting on it. Getting it up to the height you want and climbing back on could be an issue for some people.

When I read the reviews online about these chairs at Amazon and some other sites, I figured they would work for me since I am small and often complain about furniture being made for much larger people. However, these did not work for me.

I gave it two stars because to someone out there - they fit & work. They look nice enough - can't say about how well they will hold up. The base looks nice and cleans up well (so far).

I was able to return the one I never opened (and learned that you cannot necessarily return to the store you picked up - you must return to a supercenter). But was stuck with the assembled one. I tried several times to get it apart but was afraid I'd break it and then have something I couldn't even give away. Though some people online said they could get it apart - not sure if they installed incorrectly or if I'm not strong enough.

Next time I'll make sure I can sit in the chair first or I am able to completely break it down if I need to return. One of these costs me 70 bucks I can't get back.

Returned one, stuck with the other one.
