I am very pleased testing the performance of the A-iPower Dual Fuel Inverter. Both gasoline and propane modes delivered 125 volts with no load. With a 500 watt load it measured 123.5 volts with which I was very pleased. The propane ran very smoothly and quietly especially compared to my 1999 gas generator. The gas fuel ran a little louder with a very minor hesitation every 20 seconds or so with the 500 watt load. The idle feature is nice when not running a load for a few minutes. In 50 degree weather using the choke hindered starting the gas engine and it started immediately turning the choke off. My old 1999 generator was much louder with more and heavier hesitations with voltage highly varying typically at 135 volts which concerned me regarding running a modern electronic refrigerator.  I am very pleased to have the option of gas or propane.

Works great out of the box

Added oil, gas and started on 3rd pull.  Ran for 2 hrs and switched to propane.  No problems, very quiet compared to other generators I've had.  Hooked up to TT and ran as advertised, ran trailer fan without a problem while running microwave.  Looking to get the gas version as 2nd to run parallel for more power.

Generator

I have two of these that I have run exclusively on propane.  I find that the first start after connecting it to propane is hard, requiring several pulls (this is my least favorite thing about these).  Restarting, after it has been run previously (even over night) and not disconnected from the propane source is one or two pulls max.  I use them for my travel trailer.  One, by itself, will run everything on the trailer except the microwave and AC, including charging the battery, on low idle mode.  One will run the microwave on high idle.  Only time I need two in parallel is to run the AC on the trailer.  I keep them at the house for emergencies when not camping.  I decided to buy two of these instead of one larger gen that would run the trailer AC, because I knew that I would rarely run the AC, so why deal with the extra weight, noise, and fuel all the time.  95% of the time, one running at low idle is all I need.  I have never run out of propane with them so I can't say how long they last on a single tank, but it would be alot of hours.   I'm pleased with my purchase.

Excellent for the price

Although the box says the oil is included it did not come with ours.  Super quiet!  Had a hard time keeping it running the first few pulls but finally ran nicely.  More than likely needed to purge the excess air from the propane line for longer than 3.5 seconds (as the instructions read).

Super Quiet!

The generator arrived early, was easy to set up, started second pull, and is very quiet.  I hooked it up to my 25 ft travel trailer and ran the TV, lights, microwave, and central gas heater all at the same time. It won't handle the hard start of the AC Unit.  The solution to that problem would be to either add a an easy start to the AC.unit, or buy a second generator and run them together.  The cables are in included (I might just do that).  I am very happy with it so far.

Small, not too heavy, bought to replace my Honda 2000 that died, looking forward to being able to use prophane as  well as Gas.

Duel fuel generator

Started quickly and easily.  I bought two for parallel operation.  They don't come with oil so buy some 10w30.

I purchased this generator because it was the minimum size for my RV needs and could run on Propane as well as gasoline. I've tested it on propane and actually ran a 1,800 what heat gun with it as a test. However, measuring the current draw and frequency I noticed a real fluctuation in frequency. I then realized I was exceeding the specs on propane. I used a 1,200 what appliance and it performed well. I measured db levels and found them to be 72db at the generator on the economy setting with no load and between 69 and 68 db 20 feet away. For the most part it will work for my needs, which is to run a battery charger on cloudy days to supplement my solar panels. I'm planning a long trip out west where I will be strictly on battery power for a couple of weeks.

So far it works for my needs.

Like this Generator ,It will be perfect for camping and I wont have to store gas .The only thing was I was not offered an extended warranty by Sam's club which I thought was weird . So I guess that's the chance I will have to take.

Worried about extended warranty

I bought this small Inverter generator for our camper, i had it shipped to the house, had it within 3 days, read the instructions, it did not come with the oil as described, had to purchase oil, installed gas, choked engine and started on the 3rd pull. This is the last time it started, I'm mechanically inclined and tried  everything to start it including propane, cleaning spark plug and nothing. After 2 days I gave up, I packaged it back up And returned it to the store.  I'm 65 years old and was so soar from trying to start it that I had 2 soak in the tub for 2 nights.
