[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Quick Dam for several years. I typically use it outside my garage. However recently the heavens opened up and didn't know we were getting a lot of rain. Decided to put it inside my garage and worked just as well. 
  I purchased a longer length and plan on using it inside my garage. This product has kept my electrical appliances water free.
  The only drawback, it takes awhile for the gel to shrink in size. 
  Very easy to use: open the package and put where you need to control the water from overflowing.

These are great for basement doorways or anywhere else you have water leaking in or in times of need during flash flooding. We always have spares on hand.

I used quick dam during the Milton hurricane and am convinced it is the reason why I had absolutely no water penetration. I keep a quick dam in my pantry just in case. Great alternative to sandbags

It is 17 feet long which stretches across the garage entryway with a little to spare on each side. It is absolutely amazing!  Keeps my garage dry as a bone!

Used this on the back patio, to keep rain from puddling around the patio furniture....worked like a charm during our last 12 hour steady rain.

Does what it says it will do

I have bought this brand of water dam several times, but there was something defective with this purchase. I carefully opened the package and found no slits or obvious defects. so I stretched one prior to a rainstorm where I needed it. But the next morning I found that the gel material had burst out of it all along a main seam from one end to the other. deeming it completely worthless. One use was NOT worth the price.
