The duct fan system is designed to quietly cool AV equipment rooms and closets, and to ventilate various air circulation and exhaust projects. Features an inline speed controller utilizing PWM-technology. Contains a mixed-flow design and an EC-motor for a quiet and high static-pressure performance. The motor box containing the fan’s impeller and blades can be detached from the mounted frame for easy cleaning and maintenance. Complete kit includes one duct fan unit, one inline speed controller, installation manual, and all necessary mounting hardware. The inline speed controller enables you to set the duct fan’s speed to optimal noise and airflow levels for various environments. Unlike common AC-powered duct fans that suppresses voltage to control fan speeds, this duct fan features an EC-motor that is precisely controlled using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This technology enables the fan's motor to be able to run smoothly at extremely low RPM speeds without generating motor noises and heat as seen on variable voltage controllers. Eight-speed options are available with a power switch, and backup memory. This S6 model can be connected to the smart controller of the CLOUDLINE T6 (AI-CLT6) model to share the same programming and power source. The inline booster fan features a mixed flow design using a stator blade and dual hydrodynamic wind circles. This gives it a high static pressure rating, enabling it to deliver airflow even in applications where air movement is being restricted. The motor houses dual ball bearings rated at 67,000 hours which allows the duct fan unit to be mounted in any direction. The unit is IP44 rated to be highly resistant to dust and liquids and performs well even in harsh environments.

Nice but a bit noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looking to use this to bring in fresh air while controlling the CFM to maintain a static pressure using a pressure transducer and PID controller. So far this has the lowest  Db sound for its CFM output. I also like that it has a plastic housing since I am using it for outside air. Will see how it holds up.

Quietest In-line Fan I can find

This model S6 fan is decent for the 100 and some dollars, appearing to be better made than most others anywhere near the price. There are two negatives points and one disappointing issue. 
The specs for CFM and noise are valid, but there is deceit by omission here, since these two specs, 402 cfm and 32 dB, are mutually exclusive. The cfm rating is at maximum speed, and the noise rating is at the minimum speed. Expect another 20 dB at maximum speed. You could get lower noise levels if both sides of the fan are ducted.

The only control is a single push-button. If you are at the lowest of 8 speeds, it takes eight pushes to  turn the fan off. A similar exercise is required if you wanted to lower the speed by one notch.
The good part of the controller is that the last speed used is remembered if power is removed, such as with switching the AC power line. The bad part is that the memory is in the corded controller, and without the controller attached, the fan will only run at maximum speed. Despite it's flaws, I am buying more of them, since they move a fair amount of air at the lowest speed, probably well over 100 cfm.

Quiet at low speed

The product and the company are top notch. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because the didn't even bother putting a piece of tape on the box so that it would not come open or anyone help themselves to the product. Just slapped a label and shipped. I haven't tested it yet so if its not up to par because I have the T6 model so I know about their products ....I'll post update either way.
