I was really looking forward to getting this desk as I wanted something that was compact and would hide the desk mess.  However, when we received it, it looked like it we got a return item just from the outside.  When we opened up we noticed stretches and dings on the first pieces so we put it back in the box and returned it.  I need something like this so much that I am hoping it was a fluke and may buy it again if I cannot find anything better.

Damaged upon delivery

The top back part of the desk is at least a half inch too narrow, leaving a large gap. Also, one of the bolts for the knobs is missing. As for the rest, the edges where the "veneers" meet are rough. It looks fine now, but I doubt the finish will hold up under regular use.

Ill-fitting back, a missing part, and rough edges

Lovely, smart-looking desk in dark wood. Assembly but tricky but worth it in the end. Just be careful if kids around when the desk door is open. Wonderfully hides your working from home mess
