Comfort

I bought these headphones back in April of 2014 from Sweetwater. After 3 years of use they're still going strong. I can happily say that I have had no issues with these what-so-ever. My favorite thing about these headphones is how comfortable they are. While I am not a musical professional, I spend every day at the PC working on programming and tech-art while listening to music and communicating with co-workers. They're lightweight and semi-open ear which allows me to feel almost as if I'm not wearing headphones at all. This allows me to remain aware of my work environment while enjoying high quality sound. Thanks AKG for creating a quality product.

I cannot speak highly enough of these headphones. The fidelity and clarity is absolutely incredible.
I love the fact that they come with two detachable leads as well as replaceable ear cups. I personally use the suede and I find them to be the most comfortable units on the market today. GREAT value for money 5 stars

Outstanding

I have been an AKG fan for over 40 years! I am on my THIRD pair in forty years! The first model I had was AKG 141 and after hearing the K240's I am forever spoiled by this pure sound these deliver.

These are cheaper EVERYWHERE else!

Outstanding Product!

For Home Studio .Works well, looks good, didn't break the bank.

K240 MKII

I have ath mx50 and akg k240, both using for hifi music, especially from 70, 80, 90's lps. I am very satisfied with both, but akg 240 is much more detailed on mids and vocals, and much more natural on low end bass sounds. Also it gives very satisfiying bright results on trebles.

Very good flat and mid performance.

These are studio headphones, so don't expect to have the bass and kick drum pounding in your ears. That's not whar these are made for. These are great for monitoring, mixing, and even recording. Semi-open, so while they have some external sound bleed, they do not give you ear fatigue from hours of listening.

These are durable, too. Probably because they're so lightweight. They certainly won't break under their own weight.

These are the most comfortable headphones I've ever had on for hours and hours.

They come with 2 different types of ear pads and 2 different types of cables. Those should be the only parts you ever need to replace. I've been using these every day for over 3 years and I'm still on the original ear pads and cables that came with them.

Be sure to buy from an authorized AKG dealer. I'm seeing a lot of knock-offs being sold online!!

Lightweight, super comfortable, durable

know this are for studio monitoring and mixing and not much of street headphones and for the first they are flawless and totally reliable, come with a coiled and standard detachable cable

I have been using AKG headphones for over 30 years, and still have my first pair of 240 Monitors in service.
Unfortunately, The last two pairs purchased a 240 MKii Studio, and a set of 271s, both broke at the plastic block where the bolt captures the ear cup.
The plastic compound is now very brittle, unlike the old material, and the size of the block is far smaller in dimension.

Still Sound Good

Very bad sound. I can't believe AKG made it. I bought the headphones in Serbia. The sound is very quiet without bass and treble. In short, it's a joke for AKG.
