Assembly

This is perfect for my home. I am not sure why some reviews are negative as i do not have anything negative to say about this. This item is absolutely great. It was really easy to install and it matches my home. I purchased 3 more right after installing the first one.  Frame is strong and durable, can definitely withstand winds and the fabric is too. Perfect from my point of view.

This product does everything that it was designed to do. I found the installation to be fairly simple. The only problem I had was that some of the threads were bad. I'm not sure if I could get it back apart if I ever need to disassemble it.

Light weight. Easy to install. Great value.

Awning

When it arrived no instructions for assembly but seemed simple enough. NOT! The connecting rods did not conect easy after several attempts I called the company and requested a manual for assembly which they emailed right away but I still was having a tuff time trying to figure out what ends screwed into each other in the end my husband got involved and he said the threads were messed up and 2 rods would not conect. The assembly pack contained extra pieces not shown in Diagram so I called the company and was put on eternal hold in which I hung up and called back and got someone who was rude and unknowlagable of the product and could not tell me how and if the extra pieces were needed for the proper installation of their product. Finally I decided to return it. The quality was questionable. It said polyester but the material was very stiff and was creased where it was rolled up and would probably not lay flat if it were ever installed. I have ordered awnings from easyawn and their product is great but a little more expensive but as they old saying goes you get what you pay for. Guess I'll be ordering from them. Returns seem easy enough we'll see when I take it back to the store.

Manufacturer isn't knowledgeable of product

Purchased 3 6' x 2' awnings. As others stated the frame sections are difficult to screw together because the threading on the steel tubes are poor. I was able to finally get the frames completed then the material didn't stretch well over the frame sagging in the middle and looking 'limp'. Several attempts to correct this by repositioning the frames against my home didn't correct the problem. Within a month the color had faded on the 2 awnings on the sunny side of my home. I've been looking into trying to find replacement material through the Aleko website but have been unsuccessful.

Frame and fading issues.

I purchased this item to replace the identical product purchased years ago. The new item is not like the old one and doesn't match the photo. Instead of a pouch along the bottom edge as shown in the picture, for the tubing, the item I received has a few Velcro strips along the bottom and on each side where the tubing goes. The problem is that at least one strip was missing along the long edge, ALL the strips were missing on the right side, and the ones on the left side were in the wrong place. To keep it from blowing around, I've taken to sewing it in place.
