I've never used an electric fillet knife, but this thing worked great!  It took a little getting used to on feeling the backbone, but in no time I got it down and filleted 40 rockfish with ease!

Bought this knife to replace my old electric filet knife and It's one of the best investments I've made. I filet mostly Crappie and it does a great job. I was worried about the power of it, that it might not have enough. I was worried for nothing, it's like cutting through butter when using it.  I love the textured grip very easy to hold onto dry or wet. It's a beefy knife and I have big hands so it's perfect for me, but I could see someone not liking that part. After using it you would get over that pretty quickly. I have other Bubba products and have not been disappointed yet! Awesome job on this one as well!!!

This thing is a beast!!

I got the Bubba Cordless Filet Knife and was very impressed when it arrived, I was double excited when I seen it had 2 batteries ( Awesome) when I used it on a variety of things such as filet fish, cutting up beef meat and a few other thing in the kitchen pork meat & chicken. Awesome product!!!! I would recommend this product to anyone. And it will not break the Bank when you purchase it !!!!!! 5 out 5 stars for me!!!!!!!

Cordless Bubba Filet Knife

I just bought my knife. First time owner. I just happen to catch 44 bream and 3 catfish the day before it came in. While getting my old knife out the mail dropped my Bubba Blade off.

I took it straight from the box with a half charged battery and went to work. I have to say it cleaned all the fish and still felt like I could have cleaned another 20-30 fish before the battery died.

Only complaint i have is that the blades cutting edge are a little aggressive for small fish. Meaning  sometimes they grab the bones and just shake it rather than cut through. So you have to back up and go again to get a different angle to finish cutting through. 

Other than that I would hands down recommend this knife to anyone looking to buy.

Best filet knife I've ever owned

I have cleaned fish Five different times since I received my new cordless fillet knife and I love it.  I fish some out of the way places and do not always have access to power so the battery powered fillet comes in handy.  I like it at home too, don't have to mess with an extension cord.  My only negative comment is that the blades are too sharp.  I cut through some fish and have to do some extra work, but that is on me not the knife.  Great job Bubba!

No electricity, no problem

As a guy who fishes a lot and wears out 1 to 2 fillet knives a year I've only had my bubba blade  about a month. It is very quiet I have cleaned over 100 Crappie on a single battery charge and could do many more. Blades are sharp, case is durable.  The only issue is everyone wants to borrow my knife now, and  I let them use it everyone likes the way it fits their hand and how smooth it runs.  It works great on catfish also just change blades it's like cutting through soft butter.  I have both the corded and the battery powered units both are GREAT!!!!

Quiet and powerful

I bought this knife and have tried it several times it works great on smaller fish or fish with a smaller profile.  However all I do is saltwater fish and it is very difficult to filet a grouper or big snapper or mahi.  It is difficult to feel the bones along the spine.  So I ended up leaving a lot of meat on the fish.  On yellow trailer and the smaller snapper it worked great.

Great for small fish

A little disappointed in the power department.  Thought it would cut faster but it does the job. My main complaint is the size of the handle and would prefer something narrower. Lots of blade choices if that's something important to you. Nice carry case and extra battery.  I recommend for someone maybe a little stronger. Cordless is very handy but If you have access to 110v  a Mister Twister electric works for me.

This the first time I cut up fish. In Alaska they are mostly extra large fish. Seams to cut good on large halibut. Needed to use the shorter blades(larger blades seemed to flimsy). I am older and do not have a good grip, so it is a little heavy and awkward for me to hold. I would like to see some smaller blades for black bass I will be able to handle and cut much better. Over all I think I will need practice. SO really I am between a 3 and 4 Mostly 4 star

easy to use

I didn't like the power button placement,  too hard too push on.  the handle is way too large.  I  didn't think it was sharp enough compared to my Rapala .  I really wanted to like this because I wanted it for 3 years.   I was so disappointed.   Returned to the store and still haven't gotten the refund yet.
