This is the second unit I have owned, and I am happy with it.  The first one lasted several years and was very dependable.  When the battery finally died, a replacement battery cost nearly as much as a complete new unit, so...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Battery backups don't last in our neighborhood, so we have to buy them fairly often, I've been told the reason for that is that we have dirty power.  We have lots of brown-downs, power spikes, and outages and apparently the more the backup has to work, the shorter its life expectancy is.   Anyway, this the brand we always buy because they take the abuse better than other brands.

good product

When the power goes off, I have time to save everything I've been working on before turning off my computer.  Plus, another good thing is that when the power goes off, the APC gives a periodic beep.  With my older model, I could not turn the beep off and it was quite irritating.  The new modes has a power button which I can turn the beep off until the power comes back on.  So much better.  
There are slots for the battery backup, which I have my computer and monitor plugged into. Plus slots that are strictly a surge protector.  Very helpful!

Does what it is supposed to do.

Everything is as-expected.  I am especially appreciative of the following simple detail:  this device does *not* beep when the power first goes off, unlike some other UPS's.  There are 3 settings you can configure as to how the device deals with power hits/blackouts.  By default, it does not beep when a power hit or blackout/brownout comes in.  It just kicks in and starts providing backup power.  Then once the battery is almost dead, it starts beeping, and keeps beeping until the battery is completely discharged.  This, IMO, is the way it should be.  And if that is not good enough for you, you can configure the device to beep right away or to never beep at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great battery backup for my computer in case the power goes out.

I  bought this to keep my Network Attached Storage running in case of a power glitch.  In order to test it, I charged it over night and then plugged in my Windows 10 desktop computer and monitor.  The PowerChute software monitors the UPS over the USB cable and all look well.   I then moved the UPS to my NAS, ethernet switch, and 24/7 Raspberry Pi.  After making the USB connection between my NAS and the UPS, I now have now worries about losing my files on the network storage.

Great Backup Power for Network Storage Device

I purchased this item to connect to by satellite box to prevent the long boot up time every time the power flickered.  I also plugged in an old plasma TV.  To make a long story short customer support told me that the 600 VA unit that I purchased was only rated for 300 watts.  No where in the literature or purchase advertisements is this limitation mentioned.  You would have to be an electronics engineer to compute what 600 VA means in terms of AC wattage.  The company could at least list wattage limitations that most people can easily understand.  For example my plasma TV pulls 425 watts.  No where on the label lists VA.  Schneider electronics should be ashamed.  Customer support admitted the confusing statistic but just blamed it on their third party manufacturer.  I'll never buy another Schneider electronics product.

600VA means only 300 watts. Beware.
