This Floating Stock Tank Pond Deicer and Heater is great for keeping the cows water from freezing over. This product was used all winter with no problems. The water outside never froze even when temperatures were below 0. I would recommend this heater to anyone looking for one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned horses for years and I know I absolutely dislike going out to the pasture during those cold, winter mornings to bust the ice from the water trough. This product completely eliminates the need to do that. I feel this is a must have for anyone with horses or other livestock and lives in an area that gets below freezing during the winter.
It's simple and easy to install. I also feel confident with it being safe since it is has thermal feedback so it keeps the unit from overheating, and doesn't heat the water enough to make it warm. 

It is energy efficient, and has a durable 6 foot cord. This thing does not sink so no worries about having to stick your hand down to fish it from the bottom of a cold water trough. It's CSA listed meaning it meets safety standards and compliance for both the United States and Canada! It is also UL listed which means it has been tested by Underwriters Laboratories to nationally recognized safety and sustainability standards. It also means that the product is free from a reasonably foreseeable risk of fire or electric shock in a Division 2 environment. You can have peace of mind knowing your animals aren't in danger. 

If anyone needs a tank de-icer for a small-medium sized trough (recommended for 70-100 gallon non metallic tanks) then I recommend giving this a try. It's also very affordable!

Great for horse owners

I heard friends introduce and talk a lot about this product when they knew I intended to make a small outdoor fish pond for my son. But I still haven't figured out what it's like. It's great that I received this product. I tried using it in my son's small Swimming Pool it was amazing the temperature in the water changed very well. I appreciate the product's safety. Compact design and easy to use. Winter has passed, I look forward to using it with my new fish tank next winter.

Great pond heater

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product for Small ponds , works great, it helps keep the temperature of the water stable, especially for the cold weather season, you might want to clean it frequently to avoid those build up from the calcium.
