A lack of electrolytes in aquarium freshwater may cause serious health problems for freshwater fish. API AQUARIUM SALT supplies electrolytes to improve fish respiration. Made from evaporated seawater and containing natural active ingredients such as a natural fish tonic, API AQUARIUM SALT promotes the overall health of your fish by improving their gill function and reducing stress in a freshwater aquarium. This all-natural salt provides the essential electrolytes fish need for the uptake of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide and ammonia through the gills. API AQUARIUM SALT should only be added to reduce stress during new freshwater aquarium setup and water changes, or to promote disease recovery when solving specific fish health issues. Use API AQUARIUM SALT when setting up a new freshwater aquarium, when changing water, or treating disease. Make sure to take extra care when using salt with live plants, as some plants may be sensitive.

on time

I bought this aquarium salt for my fish.

The fish, as expected, have provided absolutely no feedback.

Fortunately, the product itself has been easy to use and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It dissolves well, stores easily, and gives me peace of mind when I'm maintaining my freshwater tanks.

The container lasts a long time, and a little goes a surprisingly long way. My fish continue swimming around, demanding food, and acting as though I exist solely to serve them, which I choose to interpret as a positive review.

Dissolves quickly!

walmart.com

I use this in my pond cement one when I change the water from the water hose sprinkle two small hand full for my one gold fish.

The aquarium salt is slowly getting rid of the fungus on my blue gill. The 2 other chemicals I added did not work.

I use it if my fish are sick n putting some of this salt in a different comtainer helps fish to get well

Good product

I really like this product. It is easy to use and is derived from evaporated sea water. It is a good additive for fresh water fish to keep them healthy and happy.

Highly recommend

Its a good product. It promotes good health by conditioning your water naturally. And is even good for fresh water fish with good water quality helps with their gills.

Don't pay no attention to previous Morons review

I thought it was the same product as is Carrie in the store itself but this product requires twice as much of it to do the same job.

this was shipped in a poly bag bubble mailer. it was split open open arrival with the salt everywhere in the envelope besides where it should be. other than that it is a great brand and works well in the tank.

Aquarium salt box ruined on arrival.

came in plastic bag carton was crushed salt all inside bag just poured in a plastic bowl with lid salt still usable but won't order again

API Quart Aquarium Salt carton in blue and yellow for freshwater fish, promoting fish health by improving gill function and adding essential electrolytes, contains 33 oz (936 g) of evaporated sea salt, with bilingual English and French text and fish illustrations on the front.
