For Winter

Similar to grocery store and big box brands.

Have used this Prestone De-Icer for years, and year round. It delivers effective cleaning and quick de-icing on windshields while driving, to keep the view clear. It is rated to minimum colder temperatures lower than bargain brands and have never had a problem with windshield washer lines freezing in winter. Four stars instead of five only because of substantial price increase.

Works dependably to de-ice windshields

walmart.com

This is by far the best windshield washer fluid I have ever used. I won't even let my mechanics top off the washer fluid bottle during normal maint. stops! It not only de-ices it cleans the windshield so well the raindrops blow off as you go down the road. Sometimes I don't need the wipers at all!! Highly recommended for all year use.

Best washer fluid

I commute from Detroit, MI to Flint, MI and this is, by far, the most effective windshield washer fluid I have ever found. This product will melt any ice much better than my defroster and it doesn't leave any residue on the glass. If you prefer looking through a streaky, salt and ice covered windshield you should not buy this product. Before I switched to this brand I was using a competitors de-icer fluid and it would melt the ice but refreeze immediately and cover the whole windshield in ice! This will instantly melt any frost or light ice off of your windshield, and you won't have to keep the inside of your car heated to 90°F all winter long.

Safest Choice for Winter Driving

Windshield refreeze is really the concern here. What is the point of having de-icer washer fluid if after one wipe you get to enjoy the geometric ice designs from ice refreezing on the windshield. Not a concern with this product, a matter of fact, I use this year round. Don't use fluid enough to warrant using Summer stuff in washer bottle. Just use it year round and there is no questions or "concerns!"

I have 2 agree with poster from Oberlin, OH

I've used this product during the last few winter seasons in the Northeast. It may cost more than the traditional blue washer fluid, but there is no comparison. This is the most effective de-icer that I've ever used and I will no longer use anything else. Highly recommend.

Best De-Icer I've ever used

Its worth the little extra money when you drive with a clean windshield in blinding snow. Also helps in quickly cleaning the iced windshield when leaving for work in the morning.

Prestone De-Icer washer fluid

Great product for New England winters! Effortlessly clears even frozen, icy mix on my windshield. Perfect! I also put some in a spray bottle to de-ice my windows, including the side windows.

Excellent purchase for ice/ snow!

I always have a gallon jug on hand. This is the most reliable deicer for windows that I found.
Makes a great winter gift at Christmas!
Refill spray bottles and use in all your autos.

Only Deicer that I recommend to others

This product is the bomb! I use it year round, in the summer it washes and removes bugs and bird poop better than other brands. It's probably due to higher amounts of the solvents used in the winter formula. It dries very quickly and leaves a clean streak free windshield. I live in upstate New York, with awful winter conditions this cleans and de-ices very effectively. This is the same price as the grocery stores and big box store brands. By the way I set a reminder on my iPhone to remind me to change my wipers twice a year, spring and fall. That way I start both seasons with new blades. I found that the domestic A_co or Tr_co winter blades work the best on my van windshield that is almost flat. The winter blade version costs half what the big box auto parts charge for the same blade when purchased online. I buy two pair each time.

I use it year round

Great winter changeover compared to the Blue stuff. cheap, cheap, cheap.

Great winter changeover

This price ($23.49) seems very high for a single bottle of Prestone De-Icer. It should cost about one-quarter as much, or less (i.e. under $6/each). How do you get away with charging this much?

Note: Nowhere in the listing is there any indication that this might be a case price, i.e. for a carton of four (4) bottles. If it is, I feel that the listing should say so.

Wayyy overpriced for this product! :-(

PRESTONE Windshield Washer Fluid - AS253 case of six 1-gallon bottles, centered front-facing view of labeled Prestone containers; winter de-icer formula with deep-freeze protection to -27°F. Low-VOC version contains less than 23.5% VOCs and has a 0°F freeze point.
