I'm 6ft 3 and ~200lb. I run a lot. I've had knee and ankle issues from soccer. The GT2000 series results in almost immediate pain and need to stop running. In contrast the 4000 series presents none of these issues. This is more comfortable than earlier models too.

While I have been wearing Asics for near 20 years I have never found a shoe that suits me the way my last GT2170 did. I tried the GT3000, the GT2000 and regularly use the Kayano which has worked until I tried the GT4000. WOW! What an outstanding shoe, great stability, cushioning and the perfect sized toe box. This is going to be my shoe for the foreseeable future, so much so I just ordered a second pair.

The 4000 has arrived … Hallelujah!!!

After doing some research for the best shoes for flat feet I stumbled across these. I got them for my dad and he loves them! He uses them for everyday wear, and for work where he is standing a lot. He has been wearing Nikes all his life and now says these are his new go tos :)

Great for Flat feet and everyday wear

I used to love the old pre gt 2000 shoes, but once the 200 series came out, they were not the same and hurt my feet and knees. Every time Asics gets a shoe that fits me well, they discontinue it and I end up going back to Brooks.  The gt 4000 is an excellent light running shoe and I hope Asics does not discontinue it.  I am not a fan of the dark colors, I prefer the light grey and blue or similar that asics had a few years ago, but the shoe itself is comfortable. The toe wears out quickly, so I place a piece of gorlla tap inside the upper toe.  I wish Asics would re--enforce this a little more.  Overall, a very good shoe.

The best shoe that asics has made in a long time

These shoes are great. After many years of sports and abuse I have a very damaged knee, but wearing these shoes when I walk helps eliminate most of the pain. They fit true to size for my foot. I would definitely recommend.

Oustanding shoe

Honestly one of the best supportive shoes I have owned. I've have worn Asics GT 3000 for a few years or 
Asics Superion. I'm 6'2 260 and need a supportive shoe. To date this is the top notch.

GT 4000 better then my old GT 3000

An improvement vs. the ASICS GT2000 I was running with. I have flat feet, and while the GT2000 is a good shoe, the GT4000 provides more support in the right places.

A solid running shoe

A truly outstanding shoe. I've had nearly every model of the GT series including a few trail version and these GT-4000 are the best Ive had. Makes running a joy again instead of a chore.

Major Improvements

This shoe is lightweight and comfortable. I enjoy that it absorbs a lot of shock reducing fatigue and soreness. If you are flat footed, the GT-4000 is worth every cent.

Must buy

Great shoe, was supposed to be for my husband until he saw that the red accents on the shoes were actually HOT PINK! So my 14 year old son happily took them as he goes through shoes faster than anyone I know. He said they were amazingly comfortable.

Not Red Accent Color!

I was very excited to get this shoe at first, however I was really disappointed when it came in the mail. It is not as comfortable or sturdy as I hoped it would be, there is barely any grip in the sole. And the heel wobbles a lot.
