Connection

Easy to install,  follow instructions for best results.  I bought this as I already have the Asus Rog GT6 and wanted a device that was in the Rog family and would not break the bank.  First plug in temporarily near the router and use the app to recognize the wifi repeater.  In about 2 minutes it was recognized and optimized to work with my network.  I then plugged the unit in my garage as a node on my current network to strengthen my connection at the front of the house.  I am very pleased with this purchase.

I have my ASUS router in the basement under the stairs.   My wife was complaining about poor WiFi upstairs.  Adding the RP-AX56 to a wired connection upstairs has given me a MESH system in my house.  Fantastic connection, hand off between my router and the RP-AX56 is transparent no more weak spots in the house.

My implementation of this product has been a success as it has increase the access and performance of the router to our upstairs with great performance. Not only is this product a very solid component but the support ASUS has provided has been extremely helpful and supportive.

This is a nice sleek extender that once is hooked to an ASUS Aimesh router works without problems. The ASUS interface is nice to work with. However as for the installation, it is better to do the initial setup with the RPAX56 wired to the main router. It eliminate the hassle of having the main router to wirelessly find it. With numerous tries, it was not connecting. 

Also the Wifi range from the RPAX56 is not that powerful, especially to extend the wifi outside. Maybe my house is special, but mine is installed on a wall that give to my backyard and the signal is pretty weak at 50 feet.

Great WiFi 6 repeater but will not AiMesh with my Asus RT-AX82U router.

Great WiFi 6 repeater

I cant use it as a repeater. When connected to my network it is always "OPEN" ALLOWING ANYONE TO JOIN IT. I downloaded the app and it gives me "Errors". It recognizes the repeater but wont allow me to do anything with it due to the error reading. I cant use it.

Not worth the money.

I cannot connect to the router as I need to download firmware but the website given cannot be connected to.
