I started working with Asus motherboards 15 years ago, and I feel they were best on market then and now. The ease of install and clearly marked ports and jumper blocks make for a strong build and the first time run up anyone can work with. Truly a plug and play mb with the capability to respond to better versed builders. The Asus optimized setting in the bios really takes the work out of setting up your new hardware.

Very good entry level micro ATX motherboard. Very easy to flash current BIOS from ASUS support. Works with the Ryzen 5 5600G APU. Intuitive BIOS settings.

Bang for the buck motherboard

Pretty good board and in a reasonable price range. It works so well for the works I normally do.  Only problem is its mATX form factor is a bit too tight for a GPU with fans (AMD Rx580 + 8GB).  So both of the PCIEx1 are blocked and became useless.  I wish the document warns us about that.  The other confusing part is the m.2 Slot only specify it supports PCIE3x4 & Sata.  But most of M.2 selling Ads says either NVMe or Sata.  With testing, I finally found out my M.2 NVMe SSD worked fine. I would recommend you be more clear on this.  If there is any reason it does not support NVMe fully please specify.

Good budget/entry level Asus board that'll allow you to upgrade to win11 & update to next gen Ryzen(I'm updating from an AM3+ board).  Although basic it'll still allow one to experience using m.2 says/NVMe storage drives (accept b & m key), but you'll sacrifice 2 of the 6 onboard sata connects by going this route (doesn't come with a heatsink or cover for m.2 slot so if you think/feel you need one you'll have to buy that on your own.  Also has 4 dimm slots so you can blow out the ram, I'm running 32gb @3200mhz, but you could do more if you want, but it'd really be overkill lol) So if you're wanting to try a Ryzen CPU or just prep to get win11 compliant assuming your current rig was outdated like mine🤦🏿‍♂️, this is a good one to try without breaking the bank from a name you can trust.

Budget/Entry Level Mobo for AM4

This motherboard has given us nothing, but trouble.  We installed Windows 11 and it won't connect to internet to finish installation. We tried the included installation disk for drivers. It crashed the computer.  We reinstalled Windows. We downloaded the drivers from ASUS website and it still won't load any of the LAN drivers.
