Best router I have ever used. Has allot of options and connectivity. Was fairly easy to setup as it was added to my other Asus routers as part of a mesh network i already had prior to purchase. This router really helped clean up allot of the traffic on my network. I like free protection and vpn it provides as well. Definitely worth getting on a discount when you see the price drop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally have been able to use the on board speed test to show my ISP that I'm not the problem by showing the speed to the unit instead of the speed to my pc which could have latencies. I am also able to run and manage my entire home network on multiple different bands. I've also used the Asus mesh network to set my other Asus router as a node on the other side of my house so that I don't have to run Ethernet through my rental. Lastly, I'm on a 1 Gig line but could easily handle 10 Gigabit from my ISP and through my home.

Powerful and Silent. Wish they made something like this in a more conservative looking design that blended in with the background. But the performance is great so far. Biggest thing I can tell you is if you need a decent number of physical ports, like six or more, you might want to get a switch to go with it.

I wanted a router that could handle at least 5gigs, had at least 1 physical port that could handle as much data as it takes in regardless of what that might be for the days where I am the only one on it and stressing it some, whisper silent, strong future proofed speed and wifi and had at least 5 physical ports as well as a strong warrantee and this checked all the boxes. The only thing it is missing for me was something this strong with a design that blended into the background instead of announcing itself. But in the days where everything has to have RGB, I know the flashy stuff is the norm. Just turned the LED lights and that's good enough for my purpose.

Excellent upgrade to future proof your high speed network. looks nice where you place it. lots of customization options. I have always been an Asus fan but this router exceeded my expectations even. May be the layout of my house but I even ordered an extender and don't think I'll need it because the range is incredible.

High speed great router with great range must have

This router is an absolute beast! I love how easy it is to customize and assign channels for different speeds. If some of your devices are older, and incapable of running on Wi-Fi 7, that's okay because this router still covers Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5, and others. This allows more bandwidth distribution amongst different types of devices, without your connection slowing down. Customizable firewall, VPN option, and high security; it offers what most other router companies don't. It's pricey, but worth every penny!

My ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro

No drops! All my smart home devices connected easily the 1st time. Coming from a nest pro wifi 6e 3x. This thing offers better coverage than 3 mesh units. I have frontier fios and this thing connects directly from the ont no modem required. Ultimate control. Includes VPN, tracker, adguard, family protection, you can set up multiple networks each with Thier own wifi signal. IDK why I didn't drop Google nest sooner. No more headaches.

Excellent coverage

Amazingly easy to set up even transferring all config all you have to do is create a restore file created on your ROG router and then take that to the new router and restore the config and all your settings and Mac address blacklist and stuff like that it all just works amazing job guys

Super easy and quick to set up full of features

Great router I'm enjoying all the setting possibilities so far easy to set up and for gaming fast secure and stable.  I'm going to buy a ASUS mesh soon to extend range since my house has plaster w/wire walls and stucco with wire inside walls. Range is comparable to the other products I've had. But the settings and performance is much better!

I really Love this router! GT-BE-98 PRO

It is much larger than I expected but it is packed with features. The quick setup allows you to generate SSIDs for each frequency band or one global and one IoT. My only issue was the WAN connection wouldn't connect consistently after a reboot. I looked at the logs and tried the diagnostics but never identified the cause.

Works well after the setup

Upgraded from the ax11000 seems to have better broadcast signal or signal strength the setup menus are very familiar so setup was way easy better than anticipated glad to see they added active cooling that included external cooling fins I added an external usb cooling fan to blow on those fins to extend the life of this router as these routers tend to get hot under heavy use the usb hard drive setup went easier than with the ax11000 all though the could have made that a usb c port for the arm and leg I had to pay for this router I'm disappointed on this> can't speak to the longevity as I just picked it up so I guess we'll see on that.

GT-BE98 PRO

My house is full of gamers.  My entire family (family of 4) either has a Xbox or PS5.  The ASUS ROG ROG BE98 compared to my NETGEAR RS700S my latency on games (primarily play Xbox)  was great but the download and upload ping was terrible. Mind you I'm running 2G fiber optic so I had to send the ASUS ROG BE98 back. And just decided to run an additional internet service Xfinity downstairs for gaming.
