We switched to a new fiber optic internet and their modem only had two ethernet connections and I needed three.  This unit has four ethernet connections.  When it was set up today December 23, 2025 the tech that set it up said that he has two of this model modem.  He was amazed at the speed which we had after installation.  The speed was 1.220 GB for a 1GB system.  It also covers our complete house for Wi-Fi.  We have a 2000 sq. ft home and it works great.

I installed the router myself, replacing another one we had that was simply getting old and had not been getting any updates. For the new router, I set up networks with new secure passwords and a new guest network as well. Everyting has been working fine and  the Asus app allows me to monitor the operation of the router and change settings easily. The most burdensome part of the whole upgrade process was to update the settings on all my WiFi devices to use the new networks and passwords, and I can't blame the router for that since it's an inevitable change to establish new secure networks.

Bought this modem because my current ISP was doing "funny stuff" with my connection and wouldn't answer any of my questions honestly. I was fed up with being lied to. I found tiis little gem to make me feel a little better about the situation. As of yet, there haven't been any issues. It handles 4 security cams, a 4k TV, my Chromebook, a sound bar and my phone without breaking a sweat. I'm not a power user. I'd say I'm a heavy user. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

RT-BE58U

I love this router. It has the power of it's more expensive sibling the RT-BE92U, but without the 6 GHz band and a few other non-essential features. What I like best is its capability of doing real time traffic monitoring. With its quad core processor, monitoring is actually real time not just occasional snap shots in time. I've used it to monitor the bandwidth usage of my home security cameras. I can see the usage change as I make changes to video resolution or switch cameras. I like the router so much I bought a second one to use as a Mesh Node and created an Ethernet Backhaul connection between them via their 2.5 GHz ports. They work great together. And I can see my phone transition from one connection to the other, while streaming camera video, by using the traffic monitor feature as I roam between them. This is observable as a transition from Wireless to Wired and back again for the traffic going to and from the phone.

This router is so easy to install. I'm not a computer type of person. And it only took me like 10 min. The app is so easy to follow.  It was a breeze getting it up and running.

Easy to install

if you're looking for a quality Wi-Fi 7. router that gets you ahead of the curve for the same price point as a Wi-Fi. 6. this is the way to go. easy setup. excellent coverage.

I've used ASUS products for years, even a couple of decades. In general I have found their products to be rugged, performant, and relatively easy to set up. I was replacing an ASUS RT-ACRH18, so I thought the new router would be a simple unplug-the-old, plug-in-the-new, and tweak the tuning a bit. I think my hubris caught up with me on this one. There is a whole world of AiMesh WiFi terminology that I didn't know, which made setting up my WiFi access point confusing. I found the 'quick start guide' to be a bit too brusque -- I downloaded the full product manual from the ASUS support site to complete the installation..

In the end, the ASUS RT-BE58U is now working along well in my network. Terminal devices are faster, some showing WiFi 6 connectivity, the highest of which they are capable. Drop-outs are non-existent. I am pleased with the overall performance of the product.

Good product -- needed better install instructions

My Asus RT-AX88U was damaged by a nasty power hit. The RT-BE58U is the replacement I bought for it. It is working remarkably well and has great coverage. I am pleased with the performance so far and would reccomend it. Decent price and easy to set up.

Replacement Router

I was having issues with my ISP provided router so I returned it and bought this router. WiFi Strength with my ISP is really good! Haven't had any issues with it, just ensure when you set it up you do it properly. Also I made the mistake of resetting it after I set it up on accident bc I thought it would just restart the router. Only thing I would really change is the signal distance strength. But other than that really good for the price since I game a lot. I have had zero issues with my connections as of now

WiFi Router

The ASUS router kept dropping the signal, disconnecting me from the internet. It connected some devices but not others, causing daily outages that made service unusable. Support directed me to my provider, who tried everything but stability remained impossible. I returned it and got a NETGEAR router, which works as expected.
