This is my first ASUS motherboard coming from an MSI Tomahawk. I decided to jump to an AMD build coming from Intel. Set up went perfectly and was probably the smoothest plug and play experience I ever had. 

All ports are conveniently laid out on the board with excellent quality and convenient features such as the easy GPU release button and simplified M.2 installation. 9800X3D works out of the box, no BIOS update needed. My GSKILL RAM although was advertised to be only XMP Ready worked perfectly with the EXPO overlock to get advertised speeds with no issue.

BIOS on this motherboard is excellent. Easy to understand, clean, modern and intuitive UI. Setting up fan control speeds is nice and easy as well.

I will definitely be sticking with ASUS from now on and I highly recommend!

I've been using the TUF GAMING X870-PLUS WIFI motherboard for a short time, and so far I'm very satisfied. The build quality feels strong and reliable, which is exactly what I expect from the TUF series. Installation was straightforward, and all components worked smoothly right out of the box. The WiFi connection is stable, and overall performance has been excellent for both gaming and everyday use. The BIOS is user-friendly and offers plenty of options for customization. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a durable and high-performance motherboard

Great performance and solid build quality

Never had issues with any ASUS products till this day, and I thank you guys for that. Excellent motherboard here, runs as it should. Tips you should look for. The mb uses ARGB 3 pin only, no 4 pin. That extra M.2 slot is nice to have. Handles overclocking and that 9800 x3d like a champ.

I don't usually write reviews but I found this motherboard more stable and better than my old one, now I can use EXPO with my RAMs and no more crashes

One of the best motherboards

This is my third generation of ASUS TUF motherboards. I have been very happy with every board so far. My first wo motherboards lived very long lives, I expect that this one will also.

My 3rd generation of ASUS TUF motherboards.

Seems to pair very nicely with 9800x3d and 6400mts ram BUT... The four USB 5G ports aren't working for some reason. I've updated all drivers/firmware. Would be 5 stars of they worked.

I am thrilled with this great mb - I chose it among the many good boards out there for its outstanding features. I do wish they would ship with a paper manual but I'm a very old fart so that's just a boomer complaint, I suppose. The real gripe I have is that they also ship out with a UEIF/Bios setting, “TPM - Disabled” so that to install Windows you have to dig around in the Advanced settings and enable it. Yes, yes, piece of cake for all you technically educated gamers but it stopped me dead in my tracks for two whole days while ChatGPT showed me the way through. And yes too, for all those out there that are thinking “Stupid Boomer doesn't realize many people don't install Windows but Linux or even a dual-boot Hackintosh…” So I say, “Those people will EASILY dig around in the Advanced bios settings to get their other OS installed. It was the Stupid Boomers that invented and paid for your whole digital world.

“TPM - Disabled”

Well, it's not my first choice.  I had an MSI board that I needed to replace and this was the only x870 board I could get to replace it immediately.  Memory training and getting accustomed to a new cpu was interesting.  Long boot times, clocked one startup at 1 min 57 seconds.  M2_2 shares a lane with PCIE Gen5 so if you use that, and a gen 5 RTX card, you are going to have a little bit of performance issues.  Benchmarked Far Cry 6 and I used to get between 90 and 120 FPS on ultra quality settings with the HD texture pack installed, now I get between 70 and 90 FPS with the same settings.  Keep in mind, I do not have FC6 installed on the M2_2 ssd, but if you are going to install more than one ssd, then that is one factor to be considerate of.  Now I have a gen 4 gpu[an TUF RTX 4070TI Super] with 16GB onboard, so I should not see a performance drop, but yet it happens.

Not My First Choice...

Do not get if you want to use windows 10.  Bluetooth and Wifi only works on Windows 11 despite there being "drivers" on the website for this board that are designed for windows 10.  The driver installation process was horrendous and I have no idea how I managed to get it to work, but being forced to use windows 11 if I wanted wifi/bluetooth has been a miserable experience, might as well buy a board without wifi on it at that point.

Do Not Buy

I love the board, how ever there's is a issue going on with the memory I can't get more than 32 gigs of the ddr5 cosair 6000 rgb vengeance it's really upsetting me prehaps compensation or at least a update in the bios, iam lost of words the cpu iam using is a 9700x ryzen, ALL bios have been up dated, ( wanted to put 64 gigs or more) in my computer
