It takes a bit to upgrade from 19 to 24. At first it seemed too bright. And BIG. lol. Once used to it, it is second nature. All I had to do was swap the cable, plug it in and it was up and running identical to the old monitor. It has a built in handle on top for lifting if you want to, instead of side. Get used to the button on the bottom instead of front when picking it up. It is clear and sharp. The only complaint I have is the manual is a joke. It basically tells you plug in and that is it. It doesn't explain how to use the buttons. A friend told me one has to push menu button first, then which setting you want, IE brightness, etc. And then still impossible to understand the menu. Or navigate it. It show up and down arrows, but keyboard does nothing. So I will just settle for as it booted up as default. When I searched on line for manual, nothing. Asus has a major flaw in regards to instructions. The fold out sheet is large, only due to being printed in a dozen or more languages. Of all the research I did, this monitor rated the highest in satisfaction and highest in sales. So far, pleased with it. Just wish I had a decent instruction manual with it.

I bought this to replace a broken (and pair with a second) ASUS VS247H-P.

The screen is a bit brighter and warmer by default than its predecessor. I want them to match exactly, which took quite a bit of work on the new one, but now they are nearly identical, so it's a good duel monitor screen with an older model (or current one), l if you're upgrading or setting up two like me.

Word of Caution/Tip:
I saw scan lines and color fuzzies all over the screen a few times when setting it up (which also happened on my old monitor) and it freaked me out...but to avoid this, I found out you just have to separate the power chord and whichever chord is connecting your monitor to your computer so they don't touch and interfere with each other.

Good upgrade to pair with an ASUS VS247H-P

Replaced my ten year old dying screen with this model. Bright crisp images and no issues. Wide screen for a new perspective.

Great addition to my system

easy to set up and multiple ports for difrent ages of computers, was surprised with the difrent settings for modes like gaming or theater display settings.

This is a very good monitor. 1080P with an HDMI Port which is exactly what I was looking for. There are plenty of options to customize the color. I have not noticed any ghosting. I have owned many different monitor brands over the years but this is my first time getting an Asus. I am very happy with it and I will be considering them in the future. One thing to keep in mind if you plan to use HDMI you will need to purchase the cable as it does not come with one (not a big deal it cost me $4 to get one).

I bought this monitor for a gaming computer and it has not disappointed me to date. Some of the features that were important to me were the VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs/modes. I'm running a retro tower using DVI out to HDMI in (at high resolutions) and the picture quality is fantastic!.
The pixel pitch, insanely high contrast ratio, and the 2ms response time are not only perfect for HD gaming, but viewing HD sources as well; while giving you the option of the VGA and DVI inputs if needed.
It also includes 6 preset modes for various types of inputs-from gaming to theater to standard, etc.. In addition there are 7 total skin-tone and color temperature modes as well. Add to that a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack, VGA and DVI cables, along with a 3 yr. warranty (I also purchased the Walmart extended warranty as well), and you have one serious piece of hardware at a great price!.
I could go on, but I'm sure you get the "picture".

Serious quality product at a seriously great price

The original monitor died and I was very happy to find a replacement at such a reasonable price.  I had the replacement within 48 hours of ordering.

ASUS monitor

I run 2 of these monitors connected to a laptop with one connected directly via HDMI and the other connected via a VGA to HDMI converter.  Both monitors are great for multitasking as well as for watching movies or TV online.

Good monitor, especially for the price

This monitor works great for me. I love having a big picture. The only drawback to this monitor is that the stand doesn't fit like I would like it to. It is a little shaky. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall over but I would like it to be steady!

I needed a replacement monitor when the power switch on my old one died.  Walmart shipped this one, and it got here in three days.  Took 10 minutes to set up - most of that was clearing my desk to remove the old monitor.  I don't need a super high quality monitor, but this one is great.  A little less contrast than my last one, but it's fine.  Highly recommended!

Very good monitor at a great price!

Picked this up at the store yesterday.
Very light and quite thin.
Sits kinda low as there is no vertical height adjustment.

Won't turn on. Called tech support and they said I have a defective unit.
Will return it this week and try a different monitor.
