[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has an aluminum frame which makes it more substantial than something that is all plastics.  You have to expect compromises with something that is small and light weight.  But you wouldn't want to carry around a standard half height 5.25 drive.  It looks like it will be serviceable if I am careful using it.

There was NO power cable, NO stand. Couldn't install the software on either my laptop or pc. Mt husband doesn't believe it is getting enough power. With such good ratings I wouldn't have expected to receive this piece of junk.

less than one year this one died. but for some reason, you put the purchasing date as May/2024. I bought it on 07/10/2024.

This is the third external disk drive I have purchased, unfortunately I had to return the unit because it was not compatible with win 11 pro.  I still use the first unit purchased about 3 years ago and wanted to get a third unit for my new machine. I'm a fan of ASUS technology products, just disappointed that this recent purchase did not live up  to my expectstions.
