Had some issues with initial setup, but a direct ethernet connection, as suggested in manual, between router and node solve the setup issue for the mesh node. Once configured everything work perfectly using the 6 ghz for the backhaul. Between router and one mesh node, i now have full coverage of my 2500 sq ft house with no dead spots and using 5 and 6 ghz bands.  Minimum download speeds per my fire TV were 122 mbps no matter the location

This router is actually better than advertised.  Fairly easy to setup with phone app that works.  Later on, for fine tuning, I used the web interface which for me was easier, but phone app and web interface are both great. Operation of the system and coverage is impressive.  The software offers complete control, status reporting and statistics.

A router that performs well

Awesome little mesh system. I didn't expect any less from ASUS. I live in a 2,000 square foot home and this system covers my whole home perfectly. I paired them through a wireless backhaul and I haven't lost any connection. I initially paired them through Ethernet cable just for the setup then I place the node in its final location where it paired with the main router wirelessly. This takes advantage of my full internet speed provided by my internet provider. So happy I went with this mesh system and I highly recommend. Was easy to set up through ASUS App and I set mine up by splitting up the 3 networks, 2.4ghz, 5ghz and 6ghz.

Works as Described

Very simple setup with a wired backhaul.  Did it while my son took his work from home lunch break.  Wifi is solid throughout the house.   Wired connections also solid.

Plugged and Played

Time to replace an older non ASUS wifi router.  Looked as several routers and this model was perfect.  Great user interface for new or seasoned users.  Set up was super easy via the App.  Super easy to connect router to node via ethernet if you care to use a wired option.

Worked accordingly. I did have to change some parameters for my older equipment to interface.

I bought this to replace an older CT8 setup that I had used for a few years after one of the nodes bricked. I ended up returning this unit because the 5Ghz radio was not working and no devices would connect to it.

Did not work. Returned

Setup was easy, but they don't work. So if all you want is an easy set-up, these will do.
