Instructions

Unit came partially assembled and required very little time to complete. Since my patio is lower than standard I had planned to shorten the column from the start and this unit accommodates that very well, with a little mechanical ability. I would recommend it for family and friends.

Quality construction and function

I purchased this for my husband as a Christmas gift.  Although the box suffered some damage, the contents themselves did not.  Unfortunately, there is a picture of the heater on the outside of the box, and my husband quickly realized he'd discovered his Christmas present when he saw the box.  Mind you, this occurred on the day before Thanksgiving.  I awoke Thanksgiving morning to the sound of him opening his gift, removing it from the box, and putting it together!  Within an hour he had it assembled and relocated to our covered patio.  He had a bit of difficulty getting it lit.  The instructions mention sometimes it takes time to clear air out of the apparatus, which until all air is cleared, lighting it will not happen.  Obviously my husband is a bit impatient.  When his present wouldn't light right away, he sadly came back into the house to inform me we would have to return it.  I asked him if he'd read the part about how it sometimes takes a while for the air to clear.  He went back outside, held the valve open for 20 minutes, and then when he tried to light it, he was successful.  He spent the rest of Thanksgiving afternoon out on our porch watching his big screen outdoor television,  being toasty and warm, while sitting beside his heater.  I am once again considered BEST WIFE EVER.

Great Christmas Present

My son bought this product for me in February and did not get around to putting it together. I have it assembled now in October and love it!!! We have had a barbeque and a couple of dinner parties and this product puts out the heat. Everyone was commenting how nice it look and how they wish they had one to sit out in cooler weather and eat on patio.

I ordered two of these patio heaters because they received high marks on the internet, I think on Wirecutter. I ordered them in anticipation of colder weather and my desire to get together mor safely with friends and family during the pandemic.  I have not used them yet.

Looking forward to using this winter

Assembly directions were very good, but it took me about 2 hours to put it together (manual said it would take 1 hour -- but maybe it was just me)
Nice looking patio heater, and it works very well. Only problem is the starter button does not get the pilot lit. I have to light it manually.

The unit works fine unfortunately the directions to start the unit was completely wrong. I thought it was broken but when I called support they walk me through the process and it was nothing like the instruction manual.

It would not ignite. Tried two different propane tanks and trouble shooting but it wouldn't work. Took it back. Very nice looking I wish it would have worked
